Hi all!

I'm Jemmalina from Australia currently living in and travelling around Canada on a working holiday visa.
I have just finished up a ski season and am excited about travelling around and learning more about the beautiful nature of Canada.

My previous experiences involve travelling (backpacking and camping mainly) throughout Australia, Europe and Asia. I have spent time working on gardens, orchards, vineyards, sustainable and conservation projects.

I love hiking, slow travelling, yoga, cooking, and the natural world (especially the water!). I am a relaxed, compassionate, and reliable, and deeply interested in people and new experiences

I grew up on a small sustainable community on the coast of South Western Australia. We often hosted international travellers through site like workaway. This was such a positive experience in my life and I love now being a workaway-er myself! My upbringing also gave me a deep appreciation of different cultures and travel, nature and conservations, and sustainable and communal living.

I am looking for adventures and the chance to learn from and connect with people and the land they call home.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am very practical, detail oriented, and physically fit and able to give all hands on work a honest go.
I love working outside and being in nature.

I have experience with:
- Gardening and outdoor work: mowing, whipper snippering, planting, weeding, pruning
- Caring for animals: feeding and minding chickens, horses, cow, sheep, dogs, cats
- Cleaning: indoor and outdoor cleaning and and organising (lots of hospitality experience)
- Building and renovation: basic skills with tools (some powertools), painting, plastering
- Cooking: proficiently cook meals and enjoy baking (I am vegetarian and mainly cook this way)
- Childcare: lots of experience with caring for children through nannying and also raised by a school teacher so learnt a lot from her!

I am empathetic, grounded, and generally get on well with most people. I also love puzzles and problem solving.

I studied biomedical science at university and am endlessly fascinated by science, nature, and humans. I am always keen to hear and chat about any science specialties or interests people have!
