My name is Jeff, I'm from England and I have been travelling most of my life. I am not much of a tourist so I prefer to volunteer or work while I am travelling so I have the opportunity to do things and meet people that I wouldn't otherwise.
I have spent time in NYC, lived in Tokyo for a year, worked managing a hostel in Bangkok, volunteered in hostels in many different countries, taught English in Brazil and spent a lot of time in Prague.
I am a hard worker with a good work ethic and willing to do whatever is needed. These days I am more interested in helping out with some construction projects or gardening and learning some new things.
I have used Helpx and Workaway to volunteer in many different countries. I have volunteered on farms in Japan, hostels in Thailand and all around the Balkans, helped build a mud house / kindergarten in Ukraine, fixing things around the home in NYC and even volunteered in a cinema in Cambodia.
I am a smoker but of course I am fine smoking outside away from the non smokers! I am not fussy with food. I can cook. I am good with computers and these days I have been fixing iPhones. I have managed a backpackers hostel 3 times in a row for 6 months a time so I have all the skills needed for all aspects of hostel work. I am good with manual work too so I can do pretty much anything I'm needed to and I am a fast learner.
I am a big music fan, all different types of music, and very into films and reading. I like to go out for a drink and have fun!

Jeff stayed with us while we are doing some home stuff changing the rooms moving furniture and repairing broken parts of the home he gave us many good idea for designing and useful ideas about the home. Also he is good chef at our bad and small kitchen probably next time we need help or does not matter we wanna host again him.

I stayed for just a week with Cagdas and Yigit. The work was so little that it felt like I was just staying with friends. You just need to help keep the apartment clean, feed the cats and maybe cook sometimes.

Jeff was one of our all time favorites!
He did an amazing job while he was with us and helped out a lot on the farm!
Very friendly, organized , clean and helpfull!
He picked up some fencing and chain saw skills and is a very hard worker.
I would highly recommed him if youre looking for good honest and trustworthy help:D

I volunteered with Sejla for a few weeks in September and had a great time. Sejla and the other staff are all great, the hostel is new and a lot of thought and detail has gone in to it. I did some shifts on reception to cover the staff's days off and helped a bit with making beds and laundry.

We love Jeff :)
We had Jeff for 2 weeks working in the hostel and he fitted in straight away. He is responsible and able to learn everything very fast and he is also good with the guests, taking them out with him in the evenings. We would have him back any time and recommend him to any other hosts as a great worker.

Wow! I ended up staying one month at the hostel and even after I left, I was back within two weeks for another 10 days there. We were 5 volunteers and it was really like a family. Jeff was halping us for about two weeks. He is very responsible and calm guy, a real gentleman. He makes wark qualitatively and carefully. Intelligent nice guy, he have a good sense of humor, which is a very important thing :)
