Hi! I am a woman in her early 40s, well travelled, and I have used Wwoofing and HelpX in the past. Jasper is a little older ;-) and has loads of experience in forestry, land management, carpentry (he is a City & Guilds Carpenter) and 'Handy Man' experience.
We have been pet-sitting and working on properties in the Greek islands for over a year now, We love the lifestyle. We have been pet-sitting and working on a property on Golden Beach in Paros for the last 6+ months, and the owner returns for the summer on May 20th 2025 with her family, so we are looking for a new pet-sitting placement after that.
References from Paros can be provided.

As for me - Harriet - I have a wide range of experience over more than 10 years working on farms, with all kinds of livestock, but my speciality is horses. I have ridden since I was a child, and competed professionally; I now prefer natural horsemanship and have broken in wild horses using this kinder approach, riding bareback with head collars made from driftwood ropes I put together off the beaches! I also like litter picking in places of spectacular beauty. I am a very very very good gardener and can show you photos of past projects and provide references. I have also done pet sitting and house sitting all over the world. More recently, I went to Greece with my partner Jasper for a few months, on one of the islands, where we went to 5 places in that time, and got a very good reputation! References can be provided. I did most of the gardening, cleaning, and pet sitting/ dog walking/ schooling horses and he did the strimming, chainsawing, painting, carpentry, tiling and other jobs. We work well as a team!

Jasper owns a little farm in central Portugal which is being rented out and is also on the market to sell, so this will free us up to travel a bit in 2024 and 2025.
Jasper in particular has loads of tree planting experience and forestry, though Harriet has also been involved in this all over the world on smaller projects. We have also got experience with fruit picking and enjoy this work.
Harriet also has an MSc in Ecotourism and Conservation and a Bachelors degree in Hotel Management as well as over 15 years' experience in hospitality and tourism, from training staff in 4 multinationals to running safari camps.
Both of us are also healers, and can give reiki (level 1 and 3) and plant medicine advice and show you how to make tinctures. Pets in particular are most receptive!
Finally, Harriet works flexible hours as a teacher online. A fast internet is required for this. She is also a novelist so appreciates a quieter location, where she can teach and write. In exchange she works very hard - as references will testify to!
Jasper is also a very hard worker and fitter than most 40 year olds!
We enjoy a job well done, and like taking before and after shots which I can share with you if you require proof of the quality of our work :-)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Horses, looking after them, mucking out, schooling, hacking, guiding
Livestock - I have looked after all sorts of livestock all over the world - also alone and off grid.
Gardening - I am a brilliant weeder and very useful in the garden. I know what to take and what to leave.
Cleaning - I like to keep a clean and tidy home. I am a little OCD when it comes to it!
Cooking - I am okay but it is not my speciality. I am complemented on some of my dishes, and not on others! Happy to cook though.
Writing - I am a very good writer and also copywriter, so I can go through your website or any work you need reviewing.
I teach English online, and am happy to teach you.
I am happy to do other jobs too .. so long as they are safe and I am shown what to do. I pick things up fast.
