Beschreibung

Hello there good people!

My name is Jake and me and my girlfriend jodie are travelling about europe together in our self built camper with our two beautiful dogs, a couple of kayaks and plenty of energy ⚡

I will tell you a bit about me first as I am writing the bio here, I am a 29 year old Irish/english man with a love for good food, good conversation and for good hard work too, I have a boundles love and appreciation for all things wild and true, the natural world and our mother earth never ceases to amaze and enthrall me and every day I spend here getting to expirience it all seems to me a wondrous piece of good fortune.

In terms of what makes me tick, I am a dooer and a fixer, I problem solve and I tinker and usualy if somthings broken I can fix it, be it an engine or a fence. I am a certified climbing arborst and am travelling with all my saws and climbing gear so tree work is certainly a possibility. Im used to a large and varied selection of physical labour and will try my best at anything providing I understand what is expected of me.

I have a lot of expirience painting houses, farming, operating machines (including 360 excavators, artic trucks, artic dump trucks, cranes, and also operating jeeps, cars, tractors, quads, and busses in heavy ice and snow) , as well as gardening and teaching to name a few. I am also a qualified kayak instructor and teaching kayaking is probably the thing that has brought me the most enjoyment and inspiration out of anything I have ever done, although dues to life taking unexpected turns I havent done this for quite a long time. I am absolutely facinated by permaculture and all it has to offer the world and having fairly recently discovered it am very keen to learn more and to see it in action.

I love to read both novels and just about anything elce and I have a deep deep love of music, both listening to and playing it, I am in love with food and try my hand at cooking with varied successes and failures! I love good company and good conversation when it is right and ripe but am also quite reclusive at times and need my time without others and without pressure to socialise or entertain. I am an open hearted, freedom loving being and I look forward to meeting and helping whoever out there may take us for a time.

Jodie is a little younger than me at 25, she is irish through and through and not surprisingly shares many of the same passions as myself. she loves music deeply and is most at home floating in a lake or hiking up a mountain!

She also has had a wide variety of jobs ranging from bar work, hospitality turn arounds, working for the world vision charity organisation and caring for those who need assistance, she has a vast amount of expirience being with disabled children especially with down syndrome. she is an avid painter and amazes me constantly as she turns those blobs of inanimate colour into wonderfull things that have life in them!

She is not afraid of hard work either and has worked alongside me as my ground person on some pretty major tree jobs, she enjoys gardening and she is very proficient at tidying. as with me she is willing to try her best at most anything with a little guidance and isnt afraid to get stuck in!
