Hey, I'm Louisa, 18 years old, and I'm graduating from high school in Berlin at the beginning of the year. I love traveling, exploring new places, and meeting new people. That's why I'm really excited to use my time after graduation to travel the world. Starting in September, I'll be in South America for a year. But I definitely want to travel around Europe in the summer, and I think Workaway is the perfect way to do that. I love immersing myself in new communities and being part of everyday life for an authentic experience. My dream would be to help out on a farm, as I love being outdoors and working with animals! I am always happy to help wherever I am needed and am not afraid of hard work. One hobby I really enjoy is horseback riding. I have been riding regularly for many years, both English and Western style. I especially enjoy riding in the countryside and enjoying nature. I have also helped out with riding holidays for children at my riding stable. I would be very happy if I could combine my Workaway stay with horse riding. Otherwise, I like to spend my free time with friends, who would describe me as a very cheerful and positive person, someone who likes to try new things and is adventurous. So I'm really looking forward to this exciting time :D!

Hey, I'm Helena and I turned 18 last year. I am a very cheerful person and see my strengths primarily in getting the best out of every situation. I love making people happy. So, of course, I lend a hand when help is needed. For example, I often help a good friend with work at his family's horse stable and with looking after his dogs and cats. I am a usually very busy as I am a very active person and have many interests and hobbies. I take weekly riding lessons, and practice standard and Latin dances. Moreover, I play several instruments, such as the piano and trumpet, and also really enjoy singing and acting. I also deeply enjoy being in nature and love learning about other cultures. I quickly find my way around new places and enjoy making new friends :)! In general, I would describe myself as open-minded, extroverted and nature-loving. I am also really looking forward to making new experiences!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Louisa:
In general, I am always excited to learn and try new things! I love photography and I bring a camera or my phone almost everywhere to take pictures. I have painted a few walls in my home and done some simple DIY work. I also really enjoy cooking for my family and friends! In my free time, I love horse riding, both English and Western style. I enjoy taking care of horses and other animals and doing stable work. I also have experience with children. I babysit and did an internship at a daycare center, which I really enjoyed! Moreover, I have helped out with kids riding holidays at my riding stable. German is my native language, but I also speak English fluently after learning it in school for several years and living in Canada. I am also learning Spanish at school. I understand almost everything in Spanish, and even though speaking is a challenge, it's going quite well and I would be very happy to continue practicing if the opportunity arises :).

Helena:
I am a very cheerful person and see my strengths primarily in getting the best out of every situation. I always take a solution-oriented approach. I enjoy organising events, celebrations and trips with my family and friends, and I regularly volunteer at my school and sports club.
Sport and other physical activities are part of my everyday life. Since 2019, I have been riding weekly, mainly for leisure, but I have also gained experience in western riding, show jumping and dressage. In addition, I have been pursuing several hobbies alongside school for several years and sometimes coordinate up to seven extracurricular leisure activities per week.
Since I was little, I have been involved in many cultural events. I often go dancing (different styles, especially rock “n” roll and standard and Latin dances), play music on various instruments or sing for people. I perform regularly, mainly as a singer in churches or at large events such as weddings. I have also taken part in competitions with my own songs. I have also enjoyed success in science competitions.
I am a very ambitious person and always open to new experiences. I am not afraid of failure, as I see every new experience as an opportunity and enrichment.
For this reason, and because of my strong connection to nature, I am very much looking forward to breaking out of my comfort zone with Workaway and having completely new experiences. I want to meet people, help them and broaden my horizons.
