Hi everyone!

I’m Gina, a 24-years old student from Germany, currently living in Leipzig. As a student of International Relations and Education I try to use most of my time off studying to spend it in nature and doing things with my hands. Originally from a small village surrounded by fields and a river, I’ve grown up surrounded by nature and the big garden of my family. As my day-to-day routine nowadays consists of lots of reading, writing and studying I’m looking for stays where I’ll be away from the screen and a bustling city and can instead help and learn more about (bio)construction, gardening/permaculture and slow(er) ways of life in harmony with nature.

I’m a very open, empathetic and cooperative person with a sunny mindset and always curious to learn something new - be it languages, meals or craftsmanship. Besides German and English I also speak French and Spanish and have lived in countries such as Ireland, France and Mexico. Being a bit bold, I believe I could get the hang of other Roman languages as well with a bit of patience ;) I’m a feminist and would love to learn more about self-sufficient and community living. I’m very much interested in history and politics, like to cook and dance and have a soft spot for animals.

Regarding previous experience, I’ve learned a bit about bioconstruction with Bamboo during my time in Colombia. Generally, I’m a quick learner and happy to help with what’s needed. I’m also happy to share the languages I speak, the meals I cook, and the questions that keep me awake ;) Thanks to my big family and teaching experience I’m also comfortable around kids and value their company.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’ve acquired some experience in bioconstruction with bamboo and know some basics of gardening and painting but am far from being an expert and very open to improve my skills.

I‘d say that I‘m quite creative with cooking and can usually create a (vegetarian) meal with what’s given .🌱

I‘m used to both, team work or working on my own. In groups I always try to add to an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. As a (soon to be) teacher, I enjoy creating creative, educational settings.

I would also be happy to engage in a language exchange and share recommendations, stories or laughter. 🌞

I like all things outdoors such as hiking, swimming, learning about plants etc.

To calm down I‘m a fan of yoga and pilates as well as reading. I went horse riding for 12 years and will gladly play with your pets.🐾
