DO YOU NEED AN EXPERIENCED & ENTHUSIASTIC WORKING GUEST?
My roots are in a rural area near Bamberg in Franconia. I grew up in a house with a large garden full of plants and animals and often enjoyed preparing meals on the campfire. My studies were in biology and in environmental protection. Afterwards I worked in the research on social insects at the university and with Cologne tourism marketing the town for visitors on bikes. Other employments were instructing mentally handicapped people in park cultivation and landscape management at an NGO for nature protection. Nowadays in my pension, I continue with applying my experiences in educational gardening: in a geriatric care centre and a school garden. In an organic community garden on an ancient estate I am member in a team of around 25 active volunteers. I like growing vegetables, fruits and herbs because cooking is one of my hobbies. My indoor activities are , concerts, cinema, travel stories and mystery novels.

Some of my journeys in Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands, England, Estonia) and Canada were combined with volunteer help on organic farms and vineyards in exchange for bed & board and educational experience. I like the mixture of different fields of work, for example on a dairy-farm: caring for the cow herd, harvesting the food, assisting in the cheese and yogurt production, selling the delicious food on the market. Another talent is explaining agricultural knowledge during practical work with pupils on a school farm. Some photos will give you an impression. I use my skills with enthusiasm in a friendly working and living environment. My help for the hosts should be limited to 25 hours a week. An individual accommodation is necessary for some privacy.
