Hi! My name is Milou, I’m 21 years old, and I’m currently living, working and studying in Amsterdam. I’ve completely fallen in love with the city, especially the Jordaan neighborhood where I live. It’s such a cozy area with lots of charming bars and cafes. I also work at a brunch spot close to my house, where I enjoy making coffee and serving guests.

That said, I also enjoy stepping away from the city now and then to visit my mom’s place in the countryside near Amsterdam. When I’m there, I also visit a nearby farm where I’ve been horseback riding since I was five. My love for horses has only grown over the years! I enjoy helping my riding instructor with tasks like cleaning the stables and training young horses she has bred.

Aside from that, I like staying active and trying new things. I love working out, going on hikes, and experimenting in the kitchen with different recipes.

Right now, I’m in the final year of my Bachelor’s in European Studies at the University of Amsterdam. However, a few months ago, I decided to take half a gap year to travel and learn about different cultures. While I adore Amsterdam’s lively atmosphere, I’m eager to explore more of the world before completing my studies.

- I've been working in restaurants for a couple of years now, so hospitality work is also not new to me.
- I love working in the garden!
