  Hello! We are Carlota and Miguel, and we welcomed our son Alén into the world in August 2026.
  
  We are young enthusiasts of simple living, community, and a life connected to the land. Last year, we built a small clay house to welcome our son, on a piece of land on the southern coast of Galicia, in Morade, Sabarís.
  
  We are both originally from this valley, although we spent most of the last ten years living outside Galicia. Two years ago, we decided to return home and plant the seeds of everything we had learned along the way, creating a life that feels more connected to the land, to our roots, and to our community.
  
  We have a small vegetable garden and a few chickens, and we enjoy taking care of the land and living close to nature. The land is close to Miguel’s family home, where his father and brother live with their families, so family and community are a natural part of our everyday life.
  
  We really value community and sharing everyday life with the people around us, so we would love to open this little corner of Galicia to people who, on their journey through Galicia, feel like coming to share this beautiful land with us.
  
  There is always something to do, learn, and discover here. We hope to create a welcoming, peaceful space where we can exchange skills, stories, meals, ideas, and good moments with people from different places.

  ¡Hola! Somos Carlota y Miguel, y en agosto de 2026 nació nuestro hijo, Alén.
  
  Somos una pareja joven apasionada por una vida sencilla, la comunidad y una forma de vivir conectada con la tierra. El año pasado construimos una pequeña casa de barro en un terreno en la costa sur de Galicia, en Morade, Sabarís, donde pudimos dar la bienvenida a nuestro hijo.
  
  Los dos somos de este valle, aunque durante los últimos diez años vivimos fuera de Galicia. Hace dos años decidimos volver a casa y plantar las semillas de todo lo que habíamos aprendido durante ese tiempo, creando una vida más conectada con la tierra, con nuestras raíces y con nuestra comunidad.
  
  Tenemos un pequeño huerto y unas cuantas gallinas, y disfrutamos cuidando de la tierra y viviendo en contacto con la naturaleza. El terreno está cerca de la casa familiar de Miguel, donde viven su padre y su hermano con sus respectivas familias, por lo que la familia y la comunidad forman parte natural de nuestro día a día.
  
  Valoramos mucho la vida en comunidad y compartir el día a día con las personas que nos rodean, así que nos gustaría abrir este pequeño rincón de Galicia a personas que, en su viaje por Galicia, quieran pasar un tiempo con nosotros y compartir esta tierra tan bonita.
  
  Siempre hay algo que hacer, aprender y descubrir. Nos gustaría que este fuera un espacio acogedor y tranquilo donde poder intercambiar conocimientos, historias, comidas, ideas y buenos momentos con personas de diferentes lugares.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for people who would like to become part of our everyday life and lend a hand with the different things that come up around the land and our home.
  
  As we have recently welcomed our baby Alén, we are also learning to balance family life with our projects, so an extra pair of hands is especially welcome at this stage.
  
  Depending on your interests and skills, there are many ways you can get involved:
  
  Taking care of the vegetable garden and helping with everyday tasks on the land.
  
  Looking after the chickens and other small tasks around the homestead.
  
  Cooking and sharing meals together.
  
  Helping with cleaning and keeping the house and common spaces tidy.
  
  Spending some time with Alén and giving us a hand with the little things that come with having a newborn.
  
  Getting involved in creative or artistic projects, if that is something you enjoy.
  
  Helping with building and maintenance projects. Miguel is a carpenter, so there may be opportunities to work together on different construction or woodworking projects.
  
  We are quite flexible and happy to adapt to people's interests and skills. We value initiative, creativity, and a willingness to get involved in everyday life more than any particular experience or expertise.

  Buscamos personas a las que les apetezca formar parte de nuestro día a día y echarnos una mano con las diferentes tareas que van surgiendo alrededor de la tierra y de nuestra casa.
  
  Como acabamos de dar la bienvenida a nuestro bebé, Alén, también estamos aprendiendo a compaginar la vida familiar con nuestros proyectos, así que en esta etapa agradecemos especialmente contar con un par de manos más.
  
  Dependiendo de vuestros intereses y habilidades, hay muchas formas de participar:
  
  Cuidar el huerto y ayudar con las tareas cotidianas de la tierra.
  
  Cuidar de las gallinas y echar una mano con las pequeñas tareas del día a día.
  
  Cocinar y compartir las comidas juntos.
  
  Ayudar con la limpieza y mantener la casa y los espacios comunes ordenados.
  
  Pasar un rato con Alén y ayudarnos con las pequeñas cosas que implica tener un recién nacido.
  
  Participar en proyectos creativos o artísticos, si es algo que os interesa.
  
  Ayudar en proyectos de construcción y mantenimiento. Miguel es carpintero, así que puede haber ocasiones en las que podamos trabajar juntos en proyectos de construcción o carpintería.
  
  Somos bastante flexibles y nos gusta adaptarnos a los intereses y habilidades de cada persona. Para nosotros, tienen más valor la iniciativa, la creatividad y las ganas de participar en la vida cotidiana que tener experiencia o conocimientos específicos.

  We offer breakfast and lunch in exchange for hours worked, and dinners can be shared.
