Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Ester or Eszter, as you wish…already from my multilingual name one could tell what my passion is: connecting with people from around the world. This interest started when I was 11 years old and had the chance to join CISV, an organization that promotes peace and understanding between the cultures by creating international camps for both teenagers and adults. Since then I have been trying to learn a lot of languages because I think that is a good way (even though surely not the only one) to connect with people, and also because I enjoy the process itself, I think it opens up people’s mind a lot. In 2018/2019, thanks to a scholaship, I was an exchange student in Hungary and fell in love with the language and the culture.

Unfortunately I grew up in a city, but I have always loved nature, mountains in particular, and I try to spend as much time as I can there. Right now I am attending university in a (bigger) city, but I am pretty tired of the frenetic and stressful rythms in here and I can’t wait to be in touch with nature, myself and others again. As a teenager I was a scout but, beside that, I unfortunately didn't get much experience in working the fields or in a farm… despite that I have always been eager to learn, ready to work hard and excited to help other people realize their projects.

Last summer (2023) I had my first Workaway experience and it was wonderful, I had a great time and learned many things from the family and the people around me, so I can't wait to start again this summer. This time I would like to travel to Poland as, from october 2024, I will be an erasmus student in Warsaw, but I would first like to experience some autentic life and meet people around the country, and maybe also start learning the language a little bit :)

I also love almost every kind of art, I have previously studied music in Conservatory but I have a (not so) hidden passion for folk, pop and rock music, so I would be really happy to share music, singing and dancing :) In short, what I would like to help creating, beside the really important concrete things, is the sense of community which I think (and feel) the “outside world” is lacking.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Not many but ready and willing to learn. I have previously been worked with kids as an educator and babysitter.
As I said, I love languages and I would like to both do research about language learning and be a teacher, so I would love to share my language and also learn new ones.

I unfortunately have a phobia of birds but I am working on it and it would only be a problem if I had to share an indoor space with free brids
