Hello!
We are Eszter and Gioele, two people from Italy who would like to do some workaway together this summer, to learn something new, get to experience another territory and maybe have an impact on a community project.

We have been involved in workaway projects before, both individually and together, always as volunteers, but this time we are looking more for a job experience, so we are also ready to work long hours and be efficient in what we will do. We both have basic skills in gardening and love getting our hands dirty. Eszter also has some experience in childcare and managing hospitality. Gioele is very fast at learning manual work and does not mind physically demanding work. We know we are a bit late with our search, but the subscription to workaway is not cheap and it took us some time to get to this point.

We are both non-smokers (but we don't mind if people around us smoke).

We are in a relationship, but we see it mostly as a really deep and strong human connection than a typical romantic one, this is why we decided to explain it as the last thing. We like to share many things and decided to also experience workaway together, but we also really value independence and therefore we would like to underline that we are willing to connect with the people whom we will meet through workaway as two separate individuals :)

I am Gioele, I have a bachelor degree in psychology but I have a lot of other interests as well. I really like wood and trees and I am slowly starting to grow some little plants in my flat. My mother always had a green thumb and our house is full of many different plants.

I have experience with people with special needs because I did my internship in this field. In the city where I study I have been part of some activist groups, mostly concerning gender issues and students' rights. I have also taught Italian to migrant people as a volunteer and I really liked it. I am a really precise and hardworking person, when I get interested in something I like to dive deep into it and put all of my efforts into it. Right now I am doing volunteering in the European Solidarity Corps project in a small town in Slovenia. Here I am working with the youth, implementing activities that foster inclusion and critical thinking, through the methods of non-formal education.

I am a person of a few words, but I like to talk with people I get along with, I think that communication is the basis of every good human relationship and I always try to communicate effectively. I don't waste words.

My name is Ester or Eszter, as you wish… the first interest I would like to mention is connecting with different people, cultures and ways of interacting with the territory where one lives. This passion started when I was 11 years old and had the chance to join CISV, an organization that promotes peace and understanding between cultures. Since then I have been trying to learn a lot of languages because I think that is a good way to connect with people, and also because I enjoy the process itself, in a quite nerdy way :)
Unfortunately I grew up in a city, but I have always loved "nature" (in itself a concept we can discuss), mountains in particular, and I try to spend as much time as I can there. As a teenager I was a girl scout but, beside that, I unfortunately didn't get much experience in working the fields or in a farm in the first years of my life… this is a gap I've been trying to fill over the last year's, and I realized I love it. I am ready to work hard and excited to help other people realize their projects. In summer 2023 I had my first Workaway experience and it was wonderful, so I decided to continue in 2024. I loved working in the garden, even the most repetitive task made me feel satisfied. In short, what I would like to help creating, beside the really important concrete things, is the sense of community which I think (and feel) the “outside world” is lacking.

We are very interested in language exchanges in any language actually. We are open to learning the basics of every language that we come across and we would love to speak in anyone's mother language. We also like to teach languages we're fluent in, and we both have experience doing this.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

. I (Ester) have previously been worked with kids as an educator in non-formal learning environments, a teacher and a babysitter. As I said, I love languages and I would like to both do research about language learning and be a teacher, so I would love to share my language and also learn new ones.

Gioele Is a very good cook and we both have experience in cooking for large groups of people:))
