Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Esra Nur, I’m 22 years old and currently living in Istanbul, Turkey. I’m studying English Language Teaching at Istanbul Medeniyet University and have just completed my third year.

I’m an enthusiastic, friendly, and curious person who loves learning new things, discovering new places, and meeting people from all walks of life. I’ve lived in Istanbul my whole life, a magical city where East meets West, and growing up in such a multicultural environment has shaped my open-mindedness and deep appreciation for diversity.

At the moment, I give private English lessons to young children, and I truly enjoy it! I’ve also had lots of babysitting experience with my younger cousins over the years. Spending time with children brings me great joy! I love playing with them, helping them learn, and sharing meaningful moments together.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching films, following football, learning new languages, and traveling — both solo and with friends. I’ve already had the opportunity to visit Germany and the Netherlands, and this summer I’ll be volunteering as an English teacher in Torino, Italy, as part of a cultural exchange program with AIESEC. I’m really excited about it!

In addition to English and Turkish, I’m currently learning French and German, and I’ve also started learning some basic Italian to better connect with locals during my time in Italy. I’m deeply passionate about cultural exchange and love sharing my background, especially Turkish and Islamic culture, with others.

After my volunteering project in Italy, I hope to travel to Switzerland and continue gaining valuable experiences through Workaway. It has always been a dream of mine to visit Switzerland as a child, I was enchanted by the story of Heidi and often imagined the breathtaking mountains and charming villages. Now, I hope to see it in real life and contribute in any way I can!

I study English Language Teaching, and I have just finished my junior year 😊 I also work as a private English Teacher on zoom. I also try to learn French (which is a mandatory subject in my university) and also German. Childcare & Babysitting: I have experience taking care of children. I regularly give private English lessons to kids and have babysat my younger cousins many times.

Teaching & Educational Support: I’m studying to become an English teacher and I love creating fun, interactive activities for young learners.

Language Skills: I’m fluent in Turkish and English, and currently learning French, German, and basic Italian. I can help with language exchange or informal lessons.

Communication & Cultural Sharing: I enjoy meeting new people and love sharing Turkish and Islamic culture. I’m a good listener, respectful, and easy to talk to.

Household Help: I’m responsible, organized, and more than happy to help with daily tasks, tidying, or basic cooking.
