Huge passion for animals, all animals! Especially horses, dogs and cats. I love practising yoga and meditation, music and dance. Love travelling, nature and the great outdoors and also love to cook!

Beschreibung

I am looking to travel for a few months to Europe, ideally spain, italy or france.
Travel is what I live for and i'm lucky enough to have been to 51 countries now.
I've recently been made redundant from my events job in London after 12 years and am looking to take some time out whilst i consider my next move and jumped for joy when they told me the news! Now is the time.

I ideally will work with animals, having had years of experiences with horses and/or work the land, or maintain gardens or whatever may be required.
I love to cook for friends and enjoy experimenting with new cuisines, so will be very happy to cook!
I'm low maintenance and am very happy in company but also very happy alone.
I love to read, meditate and practise yoga when i have time. I also love to hike and swim and exercise in general. My ideal stay would be semi-rural but with access to a village and i would like a room to myself, whether this be a hut, caravan, room etc, i don't mind, but will require a solo room. I'm super excited for this adventure and am available from the 10th May.

I'm not afriad of hard work and am fit and able and ready to learn new skills if required. I'm a fast learner and not afraid to get my hands dirty and muck in. I'm super excited for my first Workaway experience :-)

I've spent a lot of time in Spain over the years and my parents used to live there so am keen to learn spanish whilst i'm away if possible. I know the basics and when i'm in the country I always take the opportunity to listen and speak as much as possible.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have years of experience with horses, having ridden for nearly 40 years. I'm very happy in wellies and mucking out horses or working around animals and farm environments. I love to cook and am also very happy when in the kitchen cooking for family and friends. I am into yoga and wellness and practice regularly.

I have worked with various charities over the years, most recently Missing People, SkyWay and The October Club organising charity fundraisers and events around the world.
I was also lucky enough to volunteer for a week in Rwanda for the ASYV school where i mentored 3rd generation child orphans from the genocide for a week and continued to mentor several children for the past few years.

I'm love the great outdoors and so would be very happy with gardening or maintenance chores. I have an eye for detail and love painting and creating whatever i can whenever i can. I have just launched a fashion business also from my second home Goa, India by upcycling vintage saris and transforming them into kimono and short sets for festivals and beachwear. You'll see a snippet example of some of these in amongst my photo gallery! :-)
Our brand is called Vagabombay and is with two of my best friends from Brighton and Ireland but who now live in Goa pretty much full time. I spend a month there every winter and hope to spend more time there eventually myself!

I love to write and read, and hope to be able to practice my spanish if i should find a posting in Spain. I'm very easy going, low maintenance and happy to work hard in exchange for a total change of scenery and some time out from London which i have been dreaming of for a while.

I love to play cards and board games, i have lots of energy and a positive can-do attitude. I love people and am very sociable but i equally love solitude and alone time. I love to take time to read and absorb nature and stillness which can be hard to find in our busy lives, so am certainly looking to be surrounded by nature and wildlife and scenery, as well as animals of course! :-)
