Beschreibung

Hi! We are Eline en Kathia. We have been friends for some years now, and after finishing our studies we were both excited to go out and gain new experiences. Looking for new adventures abroad, together we decided to try out Workaway hoping to learn new skills, contribute and make memories.
We are both enthusiastic persons who love being in nature, getting creative and having meaningful conversations. Kathia works as a caregiver, providing various sorts of care and assistance. Eline has spent the past years studying cultural anthropology and development sociology and just completed a masters in human geography and works as a highschool tutor.
We are both new to Workaway. However, during her studies Eline gained some travel and cultural experiences while studying in south-east Asia, researching the connection between creole language and citizenship in Suriname and the impact of theatre and play projects on refugee children across Europe. These travels have brought her many insights and amazing memories she is excited to expand even further.
Although we both love to travel, we realize traveling is not a very sustainable practice. This is also a reason we would love to dedicate our time abroad to meaningful, sustainable projects, exchanging knowledge and together putting out positivity into the world.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Kathia has a lot of knowledge and experience as a caregiver and has done a lot of work providing assistance and cleaning around the house. She speaks Dutch and some Arabic and English. Eline has done a lot of studies concerning culture and development and she has a lot of experience tutoring and babysitting children. She is proficient in Dutch and English and a very basic knowledge of Spanish and French. Both of us love to cook and have general housekeeping skills. We also like to do creative and artistic tasks. We have a little experience gardening but we are very open and excited to learn more about this and other skills and practices. We are fast and excited learners. We also love animals and are not afraid to get our hands dirty.
