Beschreibung

Hi, I´m Doro, I´m 24 years old and usually, I´m living in an old van (VW T3 Syncro).
I did one workaway in Greece so far and absolutely love the concept! Such a great chance to meet new people and really dive into the life in a destination! I´m so excited to meet new people again and learn new activities!

Here are some facts about my past: I finished my media management studies beginning of 2023 and I couldn´t wait to get out and explore the world! I studied and lived in Hawai'i for one semester and I was completely convinced: I want to live in foreign countries. I just love exploring other countries and cultures and getting to know different people. It´s so inspiring to hear their stories.
I also want to have a good impact in the world. I think we should all do our best to protect the environment and should stand up for animals.

I don´t want to live a working-from-9-to-5-life and I don´t want the job to take up my whole life. That´s why my motto is: "Somehow, it´s all gonna work out. I just have to try it!" And so far, it´s going well.

I like to travel slow. I don´t have to rush through a country and I don't have to check off every sightseeing-attraction. I prefer to get to know people and feel the uniqueness of a place. And for that, you just have to be a little longer in one place.

I´m a freelancer videographer, so I like obviously filming and editing, but also photography, drawing, playing the piano, taking care of animals, enjoying nature, surfing, hiking and also cooking something vegan.

So long story short: I would love to make as many experiences in my life and for that, workaway should be perfect!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I´m a freelancer videographer, so I would say I´m good at filming, editing and photography.

But more than that: my boyfriend and I, we bought an old van (VW T3) and built it into our home (these 3.5 months were crazy and exhausting). So I´m not the worst one when it comes to craftmanship. During the van-building-phase, I was doing the planning (like the interior architecture) but also a lot of wood work.

My passion is protecting the environment and being nice to animals. So I always loved taking care of animals and trying to give them a better life. During the past months in Portugal, I spent around 3-4 weeks in a dog shelter in North of Portugal. I was supporting this incredible women with her 32 dogs. And also I took some photos and videos for free and soon, I´m gonna publish a whole reportage about her and her work.

German is my mother tongue, I´m good at speaking English and I do know a little French (but since school, I sadly forgot a lot of French).

I think another benefit is that I am not considering myself too good for certain jobs. So I´m just happy about the experience and I´m just doing it. I also think I´m quite good with learning new things and jobs. So that´s why I´m also looking for a challenge.

What else to say? I like to cook vegan and I would consider myself as a quite friendly person. If you have any questions ... just ask please :)

Uff, I think I mentioned a lot of informations earlier, so ... my biggest dream is to film something for a good project in New Zealand about whales.
