Hi, I’m Dongqing (you can also call me Lamia), an online Chinese teacher. I’ve been traveling for the past two years, and volunteering has been a truly meaningful part of my journey. But not as a way to get free accommodation, but as a path to finding community and living as a local.

What I can help with:

Animal & Farm Care: Hands-on experience at pet hospitals, cat/dog rescues, and a horse farm.

Hospitality & Maintenance: B&B/guesthouse reception, cave house renovation, kitesurfing center setup, and professional barista work.

General Support: I’m tidy, comfortable with physical labor, and don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I’m adaptable, respectful, and easy to live with. I don't need to be constantly social. I value quiet space as much as genuine connection, kindness, and sincerity. I’m eager to learn, happy to help wherever needed, and excited to listen and share a slice of life with you!

1.Hospitality & Guesthouse Management: Degree in Hospitality Management; volunteered in hostels and guesthouses, including Chiang Mai, Thailand; familiar with daily operations, guest communication, cleaning standards, and organizing spaces.

2.Animal Care: Experience caring for cats and dogs; participated in stray animal rescue; comfortable working with all kinds of animals.

3.Teaching & Languages: Volunteered as a Chinese language teacher; fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

4.Photography & Creative Support: Experience in photography; can assist with visual content and documentation.

5.Adaptability & Independence: Lived independently in eight different cities; comfortable adjusting to new environments, routines, and cultures.

Dongqing was very sweet, responsible person. Only one day is enough for her to understand what host needs. She saw everything and found smart solutions. Plus, very joyfull and talkative. By the way, very good Chinese teacher. It was realy nice one week with her. You can feel lucky, when Dongqing with you.
