Hi, I'm Daphne! I am finally ready to explore more of the Latin America!

Ever since I was little I was interested in the different cultures and nature of this part of the world. Since my dad is from Uruguay, but never shared much of the culture, I decided to go and see for myself. But I couldn't leave it at just Uruguay. I’m starting my journey in Jamaica before continuing through Latin America. Seeing all the beauty that these places have to offer.

I am a very active person, I love trying new sports and dancing always makes me very happy! Other than that, I also am pretty creative, the past year I have fallen in love with sewing. If it were possible I would take my sewing machine with me around the world. I feel most at peace surrounded by a lot of nature, and I have a big heart for animals (especially dogs). This past summer I had my first experience through Workaway, working at a dog shelter, which I really loved. It was really hard not to take all the dogs there home with me!

I’m hardworking, curious, and always eager to learn new skills. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and experiencing everyday life in new places. I’d love the opportunity to help with your projects, learn from you, and get to know your way of life while sharing a little of mine as well.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I speak fluent Dutch and English, and I’m currently learning Spanish. While I’m still a beginner when it comes to speaking, I understand much more than I can say, and I’m excited to keep improving through everyday conversations.

I’m enjoy working with my hands. I love learning new skills, especially when it comes to building or creating things. I’ve always wanted to learn more about woodworking, and I even built my own bed once—which turned out surprisingly well! I also enjoy cooking and would love to learn local recipes while maybe sharing some of my own. Spending time with children is something I genuinely enjoy, whether that’s helping with daily activities, playing games, or coming up with creative projects. My studies were about technology in society, so I’m very comfortable with computers and I’m happy to help with digital tasks whenever needed or even setting up websites or social media. Above all, I’m hardworking, curious, and always happy to learn something new while lending a hand wherever I can.
