Hello, I'm Cristina! I'm 21 and I just finished my bachelor in Psychology, in Milan, where I live with my family.
For this upcoming year, I decided to take a break from my studies and spend these following months exploring the world and myself, especially by doing some volunteering in new environments. Travelling has always been an important part of my thoughts and my life, since I really like knowing about different cultures and meeting people from all over the world.
I'm looking for experiences that will allow me to live in a different way from what I'm used to, to meet people that will enrich me, adding a piece that is able to change my perspective. At the same time I want to spend my time helping others, so that the energy I'll use in this upcoming months can be my small contribution to make the world a happier place.

For this month, I'm looking for an experience in a communitarian environment, where time and spaces are shared, and there is the chance to connect with other people. But I also wish to have a journey that is surrounded by nature and the possibility of being in contact with the most natural part of us, through a living that is simple, deep and present oriented.

Now that I said what I'm looking for, here is a small description of me :)
Besides studying Psychology, I'm also learning natural horsemanship, which I'm appreciating a lot, and I really enjoy cooking, both Italian tradition and international meals, but I always make them healthy and vegetarian. Furthermore, I practice yoga, more regularly in the past, occasionally now. Lastly, I would describe myself as a person attracted to sociality and connection with others, but I'm also enjoying moments of thoughts on my own. I appreciate listening to others' stories, and I often feel that I want to try at making other people feeling comfortable and listened to.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm good with kids, since I volounteered a lot in the past few year, doing afterschool activities with teenagers and play days with children from group homes for orphanes, and I also babysit twice a week, with two children aged 3 and 5.

As I said in my description, I like cooking a lot, especially trying out new dishes and sometimes using my imagination. I am a vegetarian and believe in the importance of a healthier and more sustainable diet, so I always try to learn how to cook dishes that are plant based and with local foods.

When I was little I practised horse riding for a few years, and I just started again, with a course in natural horsemanship, one year ago.
In my last Workaway I was in a horse farm, so I gained some experience in stable work, such as cleaning cleaning paddock and fields where horses live.
Later, as a teenager, I practised also tennis, athletics and swimming.

Although I have not yet acquired many practical skills, I am an extremely curious person who is motivated to learn new skills and knowledge, not only out of a sense of duty, but also out of a personal interest.

Was noch ...

Finally I'll also add that for this Christmas, me and my family are going to Colombia, to finally get to know some people that we wanted to meet for a long time. With the aim of making my interaction with them richer, I would like to improve my knowledge in Spanish (which I'm learning right now with an online course). For this reason, I would like to spend the month of November, and part of December, in Spain!
