I'm a retired high school English teacher. Currently I am tutoring English to ESL students. I LOVE it.

Beschreibung

I’m a mother of two fine man boys who are wonderful contributing members of society. I'm also a grandmother of 2 beautiful little girls who live in South Korea. Obviously, as a mother and a teacher , I adore children of all ages. I am currently tutoring ESL students and am especially good at teaching argumentative writing or editing.

I’m looking to meet new people, explore new places and making friends around the world.
I have done a few sits on Trustedhomesitters.com. They have all been pet sitting dogs. I also fostered Golden Retrievers for 10 years. I know how to settle and train anxious dogs that have come from difficult situations (puppy mills, lost, surrendered because they were too much work). They really just needed a lot of love, which is what I gave them.

I have a clean drivers license and drove a stick shift most of my life. In 2024 (preTrump) I went on a solo road trip of 11,000km. I ate great beef in Texas, meditated in Joshua Tree, skied Mammoth in Cali, dog sat for 6 weeks in Sonoma, helped with household & vegetable garden chores, dog sat in Oregon then back to the safety of Vancouver Canada and back to Ottawa.. I also did a teaching exchange in Sydney Australia for a year.

I keep a clean and well maintained home and enjoy painting to change the look of a room. I'm not a master gardener, but I helped my dad with his tennis court sized veggie garden. I lift weights, ski, cycle,SUP, and snowshoe. I try to keep fit.

I am happy socializing, but I also cherish my solitude. I rarely drink and I do NOT smoke. I'm kind of an early to bed, early to rise person.

I really enjoy a clean house and am an expert cleaner. I'm not terribly good at fixing and building things. I am , however, a great interior painter and love decorating.

In Canada I ski, weight lift, SUP and cycle. I like talking and am a huge history buff.
