Hello, we are Lele, Sam, Maxi, Bea, and Laura!

🏡 Welcome to a place where two couples and their little community live in harmony with nature. The project was initiated by Lele, Sam, and Mattias (who has since moved out) after the pandemic, and it has grown into a vibrant co-housing space. Bea and Laura joined us last year as volunteers, and this summer, they decided to become a permanent part of the project. Together, we aim to create a welcoming environment where nature and people thrive together.

🌱 Lele, Sam, Maxi, and Maggie form the heart of our home. Lele is a passionate gardener with a love for regenerative agriculture, yoga, and cooking. Sam brings his musical talents and craftsmanship to the group, excelling in woodworking and outdoor work. Together, they are fostering Maxi, a cheerful German boy who has joined our adventure, and Maggie, their playful dog, who loves nothing more than running around and playing games.

🍎 Meanwhile, Bea, Laura, and Nuka have integrated into Casa this summer. Bea and Laura are passionate about cooking and experimenting with fermented foods, especially kombucha, and they focus on transforming the produce from our garden and orchard. Nuka, their lovable dog, shares their passion for food—her love of eating makes her the perfect companion for the house’s food enthusiasts!

🏞️ We live in two cozy houses on the property, but we regularly come together for shared moments, like Casa Wednesdays, when we open our doors to the community and work together on projects. It's a time of collaboration and connection, where everyone can contribute and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

    Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

🌍 With us, you will experience a real cultural exchange! We come from different countries, bringing together a rich tapestry of multicultural backgrounds. We have all experienced life in eco-projects in various parts of the world and now we are creating something together.

🔄 We focus on learning and experimenting with how to live according to a new regenerative paradigm while staying connected to our surroundings. With us, you will have the opportunity for interesting and entertaining conversations, learn how to build things, care for plants and natural ecosystems, and rethink and discuss what you may have taken for granted until now.

👥 You will surely get to know the social environment around here, whether it's chatting with local farmers, visiting cool bars, or connecting with new friends!

🌿 Availabilities for the next months:
At the moment, we are not actively looking for volunteers. However, we are interested in hosting someone with experience in creating a biolake. We have a project in mind to transform two ancient water cisterns into biolakes, but we haven’t yet decided on the dates for this. If you have relevant experience and are interested, feel free to get in touch!

    🔔 IMPORTANT:
Currently, the volunteer house is occupied, so we can offer a private room with an independent entrance and bathroom, but no kitchen. This means you would need to share our kitchen, which is why we can only accept volunteers in exceptional cases—such as for the biolake project.
In addition to this, accommodation is also available in a tent, but only for the next spring/summer, as it rains too much in the current season.

💪 In general, if you come here in addition to helping with the biolake project, we would also need help with:
    - Daily life routine: feeding hens and ducks, weeding, general maintenance of the veggie garden, mowing the grass, harvesting veggies, and preserving food for the winter.
    - Wednesday community day: every Wednesday we have an open day on the farm where we work together on the land, often with friends from the community.

    🎨 Additional Projects:
We really appreciate it when people take responsibility for a small project that can add value to our co-housing community. Some examples include:
    - Carpentry: creating furniture or decorations for the place.
    - Artistic projects around the land.

    💫 Our Values:
We want to live with people who are excited about cooperating and co-creating, and who are open to expressing their emotions and feelings. We love it when people bring their passion and teach or share it with us. Our project is still in its early stages, and while we have ideas of what we want this place to become, we are very open to multiple contributions.

🤝 In exchange for your work, we offer:
    - Accommodation in a double-sized bedroom or in a tent
    - Food from our farm (veggies, fruits, olive oil, etc.).
    - Once or twice a week, we cook together.

    📩 Responses:
We usually discuss all requests on Wednesdays and respond on Thursday or Friday. If you need a quicker response, please make sure to mention that in the first lines of your message. We always reply to everyone, so if you haven't heard from us within a week, please write to us again, as sometimes we may miss a message. Thank you for your understanding!

LGBTQ+ and BIPOC people are warmly welcome here!

🌳 Our land is located in a very strategic place, right outside a small town called Anghiari, a medieval village in Tuscany. The house is situated between the old town center and the woods. You can easily reach us by bus and a short walk down the hill.

🏠 Currently, accommodation is available only in a double-sized bedroom for a single person, a couple, or a pair of friends willing to share the bed or in a tent (for spring/summer). Please remember that the kitchen is shared, so you’ll need to coordinate meal prep with us.

🌱 We mainly eat vegetarian. Most of the food we eat comes either from our land or from local farmers, so we don't need to go shopping very often. We love sharing cooking and sometimes going out for pizza or an aperitivo!

🌟 Anghiari is one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy! This delightful Tuscan village is perched on a hill overlooking the upper Tiber valley.

💦 The town often hosts cultural and social events that bring the whole community to life. In the surrounding area, there are several rivers where we love to cool off in the warmer months!

🚌 From Anghiari, buses connect you to the main city of Arezzo, where you can catch a train to many other Italian cities (Perugia, Florence, Siena, Rome, Bologna, etc.). The journey from Arezzo to Anghiari takes about 1 hour by bus or 30 minutes by car (note that there are not many buses on weekends).

🚴‍♀️ From our house, you can easily walk to town, where you’ll find shops and cafés, go hiking on marked paths, or cycle down to the Tiber River.
