Beschreibung

Hello, we are Jeannine & Benjamin, a couple from beautiful Austria in Central Europe. (meaning we are not surrounded by kangaroos, like they are in Australia, but by a looooot of cows.)

Benji is an architect, carpenter and interior designer. He loves design and wood and creating something made of wood. What he loves at least as much as wood is playing tennis. He is an educated tennis instructor.
Jeannine is a professional Shiatsu practitioner and Mindfulness and Relaxation Trainer. She loves to work with people and simply found her passion being self-employed and supporting people in their life. She is also an educated fitness instructor and has a lot of economical knowledge, studied Economies and had different Sales and Export jobs and experience in hospitality.

We love Austria, its nature and the life here - having good jobs and of course each other. However, since we have met we are dreaming to travel the world, or at least part of it. Our dream came true by the end of 2019 when we left Austria to explore the world. We did 2 wonderful workaways during our journey in Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately we had to stop travelling due to the corona pandemic.
We were back in Austria for 4 years and felt that we need to continue our dream as we have not seen a huge part of our dream destination: Latin America. We started our journey in Central America in March 24 and are open to different countries such as Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cuba,... After that we would like to travel to the South (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia,...). We are open for any destination in Latin America.

In general we would love to stay from 2 weeks until 2 months, but also consider longer stays if everyone goes for that. We can support you in a lot type of works. We have both already been abroad for travelling and working as mentioned above. We both worked together abroad as indicated above plus Benji worked in Kenya as a volunteer and Jeannine in a hotel in Spain. Therefore, her Spanish is quite ok and Benji is currently learning the language.

We are 30+, well-educated and gathered experience in life. We had responsible jobs in Austria. --> You can rely on us. We are organised and structured, but love to be flexible and know how to deal with challenging situations.

Our dream workaway job would include getting knowledge about a different culture in a beautiful nature surrounding. Ideally, Jeannine could work as a Shiatsu practitioner or Mindfulness and Relaxation Trainer. Benji would be happy to work on Interior Design or designing or building furniture, buildings, etc. out of wood. But we are open to any work where we can use our knowledge or can support you. We are very social and love to meet new people and share experiences, but would love to have a private room.

What describes Benjamin best?
He has a lot of competence in craftsmanship. He either has the necessary skill for an issue or he will just start practicing and find it out. Benji is in love with digital photography and in general with the digital world. He always tries to connect the "old" traditional craftsmen world with the new, digital, innovative world.
He knows how to:
- build and design furniture out of nearly everything (wood, concrete, trash or even
dental floss ;) )
- build some kind of houses (lodges, cottages, shelters etc.)
- design and make rooms stylish, comfortable and cozy
- teach tennis (registered tennis coach in Austria), football and fitness
- teach basic German/English
- paint a wall/house/floor/ceiling
- do grafic design (Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- cook, wash the dishes, clean, doing the laundry and even how to iron a shirt
- do the garden
- cut (Jeannine's) hair (one style available)
- do some basic IT tasks
- change tires/linen
- repair broken things

What describes Jeannine best?
Jeannine is a professional Shiatsu Practitioner, Mindfulness and Relaxation Trainer and Fitness Instructor. She currently finalizes her education as a Kinesiologist and Resiliance Trainer. Jeannine is self-employed and found her passion in supporting others by positively influencing their physical and mental health.
However, she has an economic background too and worked in fields such as sales, export, business development and hospitality.
She knows how to:
- create a beautful atmosphere for a Shiatsu treatment and support people from a holistic point of view
- train relaxation and mindfulness by using different kind of tools and techniques (breathwork, bodywork, progressive muscle relexation, autogenic training, meditation, etc.)
- teach fitness and create tough (and funny) workouts
- write and realise business plans
- market and sell everything she is convinced of
- motivate others - no matter if its work or sports
- teach German and English; is good in Spanish and basic French
- make others feel comfortable/is a great host
- cook (particularly healthy and without sugar)
- do gardening and talk to plants :)
- do the household
- do some kind of craftmanship such as painting walls
- do basic IT tasks

We have 4 nephews and 1 niece in the age of 1 to 17 and are used to kids. We love to play and work with children.

We are never getting bored of learning something new and are eager to acquire new skills.
