Beschreibung

I am a licensed counselor, taking time off from work in the northeast United States. I have been traveling by bicycle for the past three years (I started in Alaska in July 2023 and completed my trip to Ushuaia, Argentina in March, 2026). I’m always looking for new experiences and opportunities to help people and learn about cultures other than my own. I’m currently based in Albuquerque, NM as of May, 2026.

I have been working in the behavioral health/mental health profession with children and families in need in since graduation. But beyond skills as a formal counselor, teacher (TESL in Seoul, Korea), and editor, I’m relatively handy and have some carpentry experience. I can provide good hands in the kitchen as well.

I am looking for opportunities to improve myself outside of work and connect with others who share my values. These include freedom, peace, and cultural integrity. I’m

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I spent the majority of my childhood in Korea, as a missionary kid, going back-and-forth between the US and Asia throughout my youth. After undergraduate, I returned to Korea to work and travel in Asia. Upon returning from Asia, I entered the profession and completed my graduate degree in counseling.

My main experience in counseling, and working with children and families in need has been my career since graduation. I also have experience teaching English is the second language to adults and children in Korea, and worked as an English language editor for some years before graduate school.

I’m fairly good with my hands and I’ve done pretty much everything in terms of renovation work for houses over the years. My only limitation is working with electricity (I never quite learned the skills!). I learn by doing and of course, using Internet resources, and thoroughly enjoy learning new ways to improve whatever it is I’m working on.

Any chance I can get to be out in nature I take! I also enjoy working on vintage bikes, and, of course, bicycle travel!
