  Come to Vallonazzo to help and rejoice and take care of the place on the island of Filicudi.
  
  There is a small house between the rocks in a large Vallone on an island called Filicudi in the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands. The house is equipped with cisterns that collect rainwater and has got an island photovoltaic system. All around there are ancient abandoned terraces, some of which we work with, cultivated with grains, legumes, vegetables and spices, in the last years there are also fifty new fruit trees. Around there are ancient olive trees, capers and a lot of Mediterranean flora such as heather, broom, mastic, flowers and ... mushrooms in autumn. You can see the sea from the house, we are about 290 meters high. It takes 12 minutes to get to the car park and from there take the car and reach it or walk for half an hour admiring the ancient municipal roads. There are other houses in the chimney that we call neighbors just a few minutes away. Here there is so much to do to invent .... every day is different if it is lived with passion and creativity, developing the art of getting by on what you have and can do. I add we cook together every day and take care of the house, it is part of what we do. In this period a warehouse needs to be restored with lime and sand plasters and a lot of care in the land with possible sowing and care of the trees and speaking different languages ..... We offer food and hospitality, you can put your tent under the olive trees or staying in the house. You live on an island in the middle of the sea with its rituals and habits ... with the purity of the elements with its silences with encounters, with solitude and with the joy of living, of doing things for the pleasure of doing them and .... curiosity. !!!   Vieni nel Vallonazzo ad aiutare e gioire e prenditi cura del posto nell isola di Filicudi.
  
  C’è una piccolo casa sulla roccia in un grande Vallone in una isola chiamata Filicudi nell’ Arcipelago delle Eolie. La casa è provvista di cisterne che raccolgono l acqua piovana ed ha sistema fotovoltaico a isola. Tutto intorno ci sono antichissime abbandonate Terrazzamenti, alcuni dei quali noi lavoriamo con coltivazioni di grani antichi, legumi, vegetali e spezie varie; negli ultimi anni ci sono anche un cinquanta nuove piante da frutto. Intorno ci sono antichi olivi, capperi e tanta flora Mediterranea come l’erica, la ginestra, lentisco, fiori…e funghi in autunno. Puoi vedere il mare dalla casa, ci troviamo a circa 290 mt alti. Ci vuole un 12 minuti per arrivare al parcheggio e da lì poter scendere con la macchina o camminare per un 1/2 h ammirando le antiche strade comunali per raggiungerlo. Ci sono altre case nel camino che chiamiamo vicini a pochi minuti di distanza.
  Qui c'è tanto da fare e inventare .... ogni giorno è diverso se vissuto con passione e creatività, sviluppando l'arte di cavarsela con quello che si ha e che si può fare. Aggiungo che cuciniamo insieme ogni giorno e ci prendiamo cura della casa, è parte di quello che facciamo. In questo periodo è da ristrutturare un magazzino con intonaci di calce e sabbia e molta cura nel terreno con eventuale semina e cura degli alberi e parlare lingue diverse …. Offriamo cibo e ospitalità, puoi mettere la tua tenda sotto gli ulivi o soggiornando in casa. Vivere su un'isola in mezzo al mare con i suoi riti e le sue abitudini ... con la purezza degli elementi, con i suoi silenzi, con gli incontri, con la solitudine e con la gioia di vivere, di fare le cose per il piacere di farle e .... la curiosità.!!! Questi sono semplici requisiti per chi richiede di fare workway qui..

  Unterkunft

  It is always possibile to Camp around the house, under an olive tree, with your own tent. We do not have own tents but possibly a bedroom
  
  There is food for breakfast and coffee, fruit and some baked stuff. By this we try to cook twice a day. Sometimes we go buy a fish or some meat. Once a week it arrives a bully selling fruit and vegetables. We ask for collaboration buying the food and preparing it. If there is help exchange we cover the expenses.

  Getting to the island is possible
  from Milazzo with a fast boat, Libertylines for 25€ It is every day
  From Naples with a slow boat that goes 2/3 time for 55€
  From Palermo ONLY during summer(06-09) for 45€
  At home it is difficult to call or use the internet, but if you take a 5 minutes walk you can relax on a rock and do what you want online.
  
  In the free time you can Go to the seaside, take a boat, fish, hike and enjoy the beauty of the island. Once or twice we play football at around 15 min walk from the house with the people living on the island, you are welcome to join.
  
  There are more people during summer and places like bars or restaurants open. During other seasons people still meet at the little harbour Pecorini for a drink in front of the sunset or a chat.
