HI! My name is Witek (pronounced Vitek) I was born and raised in Poland, however I have spent just overhalf my life in the UK taking my english to a native level. Ive been vegetarian for over 11 years, about 6 of which has been vegan, but im back to vegetarian now, this has given me lots of experience in this type of cuisine. (Being vege is not a big part of my philosophy, I ate meat for a good portion of my life and I'm not scared of it or against it like some people or worry about others eating it, nor am I a burden when cooking, I'm not very picky. Just want to be upfront about dietry needs for people I'll be staying with)
I lived in Devon for 3 years, where I learned to surf. I travelled with my family around Europe for two years while under 18, and after spending some time back home, I wanted to go out and explore some on my own! We travelled in a van but mostly used Airbnb and work away to find places to stay so I'm well accustomed to this life style. I'm a friendly, outgoing, intersting individual who is very motivated and excited to learn and hear your stories.
After coming back to the UK, we renovated a static caravan and I am a little skilled with carpentry, creating wooden supports and skirting around the caravan and some simple bits of furnature such as a bed frame and re-enforcing existing shelves, as well as basic electrical knowledge like connecting new electricity sockets etc. on top of this I can do less skilled work like painting or putting up wallpaper. In short I'm quite good with my hands, and what I don't know yet or haven't done before, I'm always eager to learn and improve on with some basic guidance to start me off.
My biggest passion is Art. I love seeing and creating art, I'm an artist by education, and have a level 3 extended BTEC diploma, i have curated and displayed my work in a couple exhibitons and am very passionate about creating. My current dream job would be a tattoo artist but part of the reason for my travels is to do some soul searching and find things I enjoy and develop my skills. I'm also a huge nerd who's into D&D, Warhammer and the Lord of the Rings.
I love travelling and meeting new people and exploring cultures. I've seen much of Europe and am very excited to see even more of it.
I work mostly in the service industry, I've worked professionally since I was 14 and really enjoy it, putting lots of effort and heart into what I do. I worked as a waiter/barman for 2 years, giving me great customer relations experience. Then as a chef for 1.5years, I love cooking and working directly under the head chef meant that by the time I left, I was fully responsible for starters and desserts during service, from start to finish. Despite being vegetarian, I took part in the preperation of meat as most of our dishes contained it, so I know all the proper skills and health and safety requirements. I currently work as a Barista for Costa, giving me more customer experience and developing coffee making skills. I'm also a fully licensed Travel Consultant, helping in my parents holiday franchise at NJT.
I've been on multiple 'solo' trips already, including my first solo one at age 16, to Barcellona to see The Lord of the Rings performed with a live orchestra, which I planned and paid for myself, and a lads trip to Portugal in 2023, wich again was fully organised by me, where we went kitesurfing.
My dad is a sea skipper, with ocean sailing license, so I go on sailing trips with him every year, and am proficient on a boat. I love all things on the water and am a very passionate sailor, swimmer and surfer. I also love nature and long hikes, at a recent workaway I also discovered I also enjoy gardening, although I still have a lot to learn in that area:)
My mum is a dog trainer by profession and used to run a handmade dog toy company, plus we have had dogs all my life so I'm very good with pets, especially dogs.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Great people skills, I love interacting with new individuals. I also have experience working as a commis chef in the kitchen, as well as: waiting on, working large events such as weddings, and working as a fully trained barista.
I have a variety of DIY experience from basic electrical work, to painting and experience with carpentry.
I also have skills from my hobbies, I surf, sail and swim amongst many others.
As a passionate artist, I also know how to draw, and I would like to be a tattoo artist one day.
I am also extremely eager to work and excited and dedicated to learning new skills, and I believe there's no job I couldn't learn to perform with exceptional skill. I'm a team worker and like to take the initiative so I don't need constant supervision and guidance. I can manage projects on my own.

Love DND, Warhammer, watching films, gaming and reading and drawing. I also enjoy more active activities, especially water sports, such as surfing, sailing or swimming (I've also briefly tried kite surfing), or skiing.
