Jitte took care of our kittens for a week and a half, and we met her five days before we left on our trip. As soon as she arrived, she greeted Simi and Wicca without forcing any interaction at all. It was clear they liked her right away! Wicca didn’t even hide, she just watched her from a distance at first, and shortly after was already letting herself be petted! Simi was the same. Jitte was able to give him the injections with no problems from day one, which was a huge relief for us! The rest of the medication was easier, and there were no issues either. While we were away, she always asked us whenever she had any questions, and we were kept up to date on how everything was going. And if for some reason we hadn’t heard from her yet, we’d ask and she would reply straight away! She is a young, polite, calm, and sociable person. When we came back, Simi and Wicca came to greet us, and the good connection between them and Jitte was still there. You can really tell that she loves cats and knows how to take good care of them! We wish you all the best in your future projects and hope we cross paths again someday!

Thank you again Elle and Luca for having us, it was a pleasure to live, work, share the table and share the culture with you. We had an amazing stay 🫶 We will miss your happiness and your amazing place (and also Elle's food which is the best Thaï food we had in Thaïland) We learnt a lot about Thaï culture and Khura Buri area. The value of joy through hard work and service did not seem like a new discovery for Jenni, who helped to guide and support the team gently towards an impressive efficiency and good atmosfere. Probably because of her simple & joyful heart, Jenni has very impressive levels of energy and a gentle, moderate, and respectful presence. We were impressed that during weekends, she would go for trips biking uphill in the mountains! Jenni was very open to all experiences our place had to offer and made the best of the opportunities available to her. She would often join the offerings in the temple in the early morning hours, the singing circles, and also would spend time on her own reading the sacred litterature in the temple. She was very good at remembering instructions and following them thoroughly. Jenni won the hearts of all our residents by her kindness and authenticity. We wish you all the best always and hope to see you back here one day!

I only stayed for a week, but really enjoyed my time with Sezer and the kittens! Everyone was very welcoming and it was quite a chilled time with it being a bit quieter in winter with less guests. I mainly focussed on painting two of the bungalows with a protective coating and did a little mandarin picking and guest house cleaning. All the work is quite straight forward(just a little bit of ladder climbing challenged my skills a bit!) and you can just get on with it. Sezer was a great host, like a flatmate really. We cooked sometimes together, but also individually sometimes. He understands workaway really well as he likes to use it for his travels also, and is very open and easy to communicate with. He took us to a local Hammam and gave some great cooking tips and made amazing salads! I was lucky enough to be there with another workawayer at the same time, and it made it a nice vibe during my stay. The surrounding area is really nice with the beach only 5 mins walk away, and Alanya being a nice town to explore. The town was just a bit quiet during my time there since it was the downtime for winter.

We are extremely grateful to this super couple for all their hard work during hay harvest. They are EXTREMELY hard-working with a great work ethic and a can do attitude. Cindy and Alexis fitted in well with our family and nothing was too much trouble. Cindy is a great cook and was always happy to prepare meals :) Thank you! We really enjoyed meeting them and would highly recommend them to other hosts. We would welcome them back anytime. Safe travels ❤️

Having Sophie at home was extraordinary 😃. I’m really glad that your first experience in Australia felt welcoming and supportive. It meant a lot to be able to help you navigate a new place and share what I’ve learned along the way. Hosting Sophie was genuinely rewarding, and I admired her openness and positive attitude about life. She’s a truly kind soul. And Shelby… she absolutely loved you 🐾. You guys really connected. I’m grateful that this workaway became more than just a hosting arrangement and turned into a meaningful connection. I volunteered by Clive for 6 weeks and it was great! I'm on Erasmus in Malta now and the accommodation here is really expensive, so I decided to volunteer and I'm grateful I found Clive, since he let me plan my volunteering schedule myself so that i could adjust it to my university lectures and meeting with my friends. I could also rent a room for one more month, when I had to write some assignments for the uni and didn't have much time for the volunteering anymore. Clive is quite particular and has a really ironic sense of humour but I liked it a lot and honestly, if I'll come back to Malta in the future, I would love to stay by Clive again. Thank you for everything Clive, it was really a nice time!

Beth and Isaac were superstars at our project. Their energy and enthusiasm was 10/10. They showed fantasic attention to detail and initiative to keep things moving, often going above and beyond expectations. Specifically, Beth recorded and edited amazing content for our social media channels, while Isaac designed and welded a bespoke calisthenics workout station, which has been a gamechanger for the camp. We'd have them back in a heartbeat if we could.

Dimitri stayed with us for two weeks. He was hard working while we were on the finca. Digging in a water pipeline and preparing a terrace. Those tasks are quite physical., but were done with enthusiasm. He went very well with the other volunteers, and they spent a lot of time off together. The area around our quiet village is great for nature, landscapes and other quiet villages. The electric bikes were very useful. He eats and smokes a lot, smoking done outside the house. He prepared a dulce, balls of coconut, tasteful. We wish him the best and hope that we will recieve his review shortly.

Muchas gracias to Flor, Gabo, Tao and the rest of the volunteers who become my family for 4 weeks. I felt really home in the beautiful place and it felt really special to be part of the project. I arrived at the beginning of the season, so the place was really not prepared and still sleeping after the summer. Our mission was to prepare the place, cut the grass to move the tents in the right place, build shadow and make the camp nice. it was so much fun to see the place getting its usual shape and build something so the next volunteers will find a nice place to stay. the communication was always clear and open and they always appreciated our work we did. the breakfast was nice and the big lunch with the family was always amazing and fresh. I also had the chance to be part of different ceremonies and got to meet so many nice people of the community which make me feel a part of them! thank you so much everyone! it was my first volunteering and I loved everything about it! love you all ❤️

Sante and Ilaria were great volunteers - enthusiastic, hard working and full of useful information about things ranging from website building to making olive oil to restoring rusty gates. I would recommend them strongly to any future hosts and I wish them all the best on their adventures!

Hello verena, to describe verena ooh she's absolutely doing very she is very hardworking and very responsible every task you give... Shes a type of volunteer you can trust.. She save us for 1 week after our couple German left.. So we are very thankful for verena.. Please give her a chance if she will apply as a volunteer as you will not regret... Alicia stayed with us for about three weeks. It took some time to get the real starting moment in the clear, and we still haven´t got a review. So comms could be better. But she worked nicely together with the other volunteers during her stay, burying a water pipeline. Animal care and cleaning , weeding plant beds, olive picking at the neighbors, raking the cut weeds in an orchard; it all proved no problem. Together with other volunteers she went around the area, climbing nearby Santa Barbara, and visiting Horta. We are sure that her next host will be equally pleased, having her to volunteer.

We stayed with Jin for 3 weeks, and had an amazing time, we went into it a bit nervous as we had little teaching experience, but Jin was very helpful and accommodating, guiding us through our first lesson. The kids we taught were very young and respectful and generally a pleasure to teach, making it very rewarding to see them progress. We got a lot of days off as it's a weekend school, meaning we had plenty of time to see Chiang Mai - Jin also took us around the surrounding area on plenty of hikes and meals which were always a pleasure thanks to Jin's incredible sense of humour! We couldn't have asked for a better host and will miss this place loads.

I am happy to recommend Samuel., who stayed with us for three weeks in December 2025. During his visit, Samuel showed great commitment and actively participated in our family life. Samuel enjoyed spending time with our children, playing with them and teaching them English. He also taught us English, which was a valuable experience for our family. Additionally, Samuel helped with garden work, showing himself to be hardworking and dedicated. We particularly appreciated Samuel's modesty and his openness in sharing stories about his life in Singapore. His strong environmental awareness, including his preference for organic food and taking only cold showers, was truly inspiring and motivated me to reflect on my own habits. The three weeks we spent together allowed us to bond closely. Samuel. proved to be trustworthy, responsible, and pleasant to be around. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a guest or a friend.

Alessandro and Noemi were 11/10 guests and workawayers. Punctual, friendly, concientious, curious, and competent. What more can you ask for! They even cooked for the whole house sometimes, and were always on top of taking care of Kaylee. They were happy to have conversations and chat about life, but also knew how to take their own quiet time and have peace at home. They brought a joyful curiousity that I can only hope they continue to bring everywhere they do. Although at times the language comprehension was slow, it was never a barrier! To both of you, best of luck with your travels, dreams, and ambitions. You know you are welcome back to my place anytime you want, workaway or just for fun. Summer is a nicer time than when you were here :P. Catch you around!

I had a great experience staying with Claudia and all of her animals! I really enjoyed the work and all of the animals were super nice. Claudia even took me to different beaches, the tram station,... and I think you can learn a lot from her about horses :) Thanks for this experience, If my time had allowed, I would have loved to stay longer!!

I had a great experience staying with Gudrun and Paulo! They are great hosts and I enjoyed caring for their animals twice a day. In my free time I could always work with two of their horses and I already miss sitting outside in the sun :) Thank you for everything!

These days with andrew were a time where we were able to learn a lot about tools and ways of constructing plaster walls. We came here with the goal to work with our hands and learn how to build things and that’s exacly what andrew gave us. Besides that, all of us cooked delicious food and walked Fred, his dog. These 10 days made me realize how simple and hard working life can be, specially living on a boat. But this is what made this experience special. Besides, what also made this all the more special was Andrew. We shared so many stories and our age gap didn’t matter, he is always very kind, respectful, gives you space and worries about your wellbeing. A modern man and a lifestyle worth knowing. Thank you again Andrew :)

What a way to begin Workaway ! This experience was truly wonderful. Our stay at Stefano and Francesca's farm was our first Workaway experience and definitely makes us want to do more, hoping to find this kind of people again. While traveling through Italy we wanted to make our trip useful, get to know new people and learn new things. All this boxes are checked ! We got to help around the farm, weeding, storing wood, feed the many animals while getting attached to each one of them (yes, even the jumping dogs), run around to gather the goats, peel peas one by one, build wood boxes,... Each day has its dose of work at our own pace. We also had the pleasure to share few evenings with Francesca, Stefano, Leonardo and Bjorn and their families too sometimes ! It was really nice to share meals with them and try to understand each other by mixing every language, which we mostly manage to do ! We had everything we needed and more, we left with our minds full of memories and our hearts full of thanks. These hosts are very brave and kind people, who are definitely worth meeting. We can't thank them enough for their warm welcome and hope that many other people will get to experience this ! (Big up to their sublime goat cheese and wonderful olive oil) Thank you so much 🌟 J&J
