Wonderful experience with Eliza. She's a lovely person, beautiful soul and very delightful host. She invited me to many places and made me discover the region. Her property is huge and her house quite historical. Very close to Lons-le-Saunier that is the main town around. Hope I will come back someday to help her again as I had a very good time there.

Daniela was a real pleasure to host and work with. She is a very positive person—calm, reliable, and easy to be around—which made a big difference in our small, hands-on environment. During her stay, she helped us prepare the orchard for the winter, taking on a range of seasonal tasks with care and attention. She also played an important role in helping us set up for our Christmas markets, where her energy and willingness to help wherever needed were especially appreciated. She picked things up quickly, followed instructions well, and could be trusted to work independently once shown what needed to be done. Beyond the work itself, Daniela was respectful of our space, communicated clearly, and fit in naturally with our daily routine. We truly appreciated both her help and her positive presence, and we would happily welcome her back. We can confidently recommend Daniela to other hosts looking for a responsible, hardworking, and genuinely pleasant person.

I couldn't have been happier with my time at the farm of Elena, Edelemo and Alexis. They have welcomed me into their house as one of their own. The work is not easy but it is well worth it. The place itself is amazingly beautiful but most of all is living with Edelemo, Elena and Duque. The stories, food and good time spent together having mate or simply watching television are truly something incredible and that will stay with me forever. Note: be sure to have a decent Spanish before coming. It'll make everyone's time easier and better :)

Super interesting project at Taner's place, the house building and the techniques used are really inspiring. Taner is super friendly and available to share his knowledge about construction, plants and cooking. The location is very quiet and ressourcing. We helped with several things, we planted trees, harvested the olives trees and helped building of the bathroom. We went climbing together at the beach on our day off too. Really nice to meet you, come visit us when we start building our own house 😄

Géza spent about a month with our family. He is an extremely friendly, easy-going and very helpful person. His presence and calm manner were always very pleasant, and he easily fitted into our everyday life. Our children quickly became very familiar and attached to Géza and loved playing and spending time with him. He got up early every morning to prepare breakfast for the children, ate with them and tidied up afterwards. He was a great help in getting the day started. He often spent the morning with our two younger boys while our eldest went to kindergarten. Géza also looked after our children on his own for short periods and always took great responsibility for them. The children enjoyed building Lego, railways and other things with Géza. It is worth mentioning that he worked with our eldest son on the computer to create building instructions for their own Lego creations, which our son still fondly remembers today. Géza helped with everything we needed help with in our household, such as cooking, laundry or vacuuming. Géza also took a liking to our cats, looking after them and caring for them. We can highly recommend Géza personally, as well as his helpful assistance, and would be very happy to welcome him back to our home anytime.

staying with Alessio and Angelica is an amazing experience they are a great family very welcoming and willing to share many cool things here in the local area especially delicious food and meeting local people! I've had only good times being here the beach is so close by I was swimming daily and Alessio was cool enough to let me use his canoe to go exploring the coast which I loved very much... there isn't anything bad to say about being here the work can be challenging but we always work as a team which makes it very easy to deal with,as for the accommodation it's brilliant your own apartment fully equipped with a kitchen bathroom etc the kitchen always fully stocked with food to make at any time as well as sharing lots of lunches together with Alessio and his family. overall my experience at Alessio place has been 10/10 there is much more amazing things I can list about being here,sharing time with other workawayers has been cool also and having many camp fires enjoying a glass of wine & barbiquing food I could go on and on.... thank you very much Alessio and Angelica for your brilliant hosting I genuinely see you guys as friends!! & I'm sure I'll return many times.

We are about halfway through the workaway whilst i write this message, Pieter & Margot are simply amazing and of great help. I would highly recommend if you get the opportunity to host them!

Ich habe zwei Monaten mit Marie und Ihre Hunde Punto & Jinglebella geblieben. Ich finde dich, dass Marie ist sehr schön und nette Frau. Ich habe eine paare Arbeit gemacht, zum beispiel: Ich habe manchmal im Tirol Hauses und manchmal der Hausputz, die Gartenpflege, habe machmal für Kochen, der Aufwasch geholfen und spazieren mit den Hunde geholfen. Ich bin manchmal ein wunderschönen Plätzen spazieren gegangen. Ich habe Maries Nachbarin und Nachbar kennenzulernen. Marie und ich sind suzammen anderen Statt gegangen. Ich bin traurig, dass ich meinen Traum, Arbeit zu finden und zu leben, nicht verwirklichen konnte. Die Tirol Milch, Käse usw. waren sehr schön und lecker. Ich höre immer Radio Tirol1 Radio und gucke joyn.at webseite.. Ich vorschlage euch, dass diese Familie. Marie braucht einen echten Helfer. Liebe Marie und Ihre Familie, Danke schön für Einladung. Ich vermisse euch. Ich hoffe, wieder in Österreich zurückzukommen. I stayed with Marie and her dogs Punto & Jinglebella for two months. I think Marie is a very beautiful and kind woman. I did a few chores, for example: I sometimes cleaned the house and garden, helped with cooking and washing up, and walked the dogs. I sometimes went for walks in beautiful places. I got to know Marie's neighbours. Marie and I went to other places together. I am sad that I was unable to realise my dream of finding work and living there. The Tyrolean milk, cheese, etc. were very nice and tasty. I always listen to Radio Tirol1 and watch the joyn.at website. I recommend this family to you. Marie needs a real helper. Dear Marie and your family, thank you for the invitation. I miss you. I hope to come back to Austria again.

So I rescued Mia at Sevilla airport with her rucksack….She looked a little nervous when she met me and that was only to be expected. I was somewhat apprehensive as this was the first time I had hosted a workawayer for over a month and initially Mia was very reserved With her conversation . However, after she settled in and started work painting the railings I noticed slowly that her look changed from a little nervous to a more confident way about the things she did and said. Fairly soon I got to know the ‘real’ Mia …she adores animals especially cats and part of her daily routine would be go and feed the various groups of wild cats ..,in no time whatsoever she had names for her favourites and she would let me know how they were eating and cuddling 😹 In addition to her cat addiction Mia liked to collect shells on the beach . I think along with looking after the cats these were special moments for her to enjoy the peace of the empty beach with just the waves to break the silence. Mia by her own admission would not be actively involved in any sports back in her home town in Germany. What I loved though was her willingness to mess about and play football on the beach and padel tennis. We played Padel nearly every late afternoon before darkness and it was so much fun, initially because Mia was hopeless but then she rapidly improved and we were having really good rallies. I also tried to teach her how to take penalties on the beach but not surprisingly she wouldn’t listen to jacks professional football coaching 🙄….. Unless it falls out of a cereal packet or it’s something you can spread Nutella on then Mia is in danger of starvation 😋 I didn’t mind though because I enjoy cooking and eating out …Mia is a slim girl but with such a healthy appetite …she ate everything I served up and loved all the food when we ate out. Mia has a great work ethic …I didn’t give her too much to do but she use to wake at 6.30 and have a mornings work done before I even got out of bed. She actively cleared up and washed dishes after suppers and soon had a great tune coming from the washing machine . Never once did she complain about my singing or piano playing which can only be testament to my improvement although she never said that! 🤔 Ultimately I can’t fault Mia she was a small blessing in both her work efforts and personality that I really appreciated in my life of active chaos… I forgot to add she has a profound knowledge of women’s football both leagues and international …from players names to what club and country they perform at. Last but not least she helped me to launch and land when I was out kitesurfing…. I still miss her now so I hope she returns …there are still a few railings to paint that she forgot ! 😂

Louis is a friendly guy, friendly, always respectful and not afraid to try and work on new things. He helped gardening and removed tiles from floor and walls of our apartement as we renovated it. He had no problem working with the machines which were needed. We are glad to get an extra pair of hands to get our building projects going on! Thanks to Louis!

I had such a lovely time with Vicky and Lochlan (I unfortunately never got to meet Julian, who was away during my time there), and am grateful to them for letting me join their family for a couple weeks. Vicky is an extraordinarily kind and joyous (and busy - I don’t know how she does it!) woman, with many stories to share - never a dull conversation! - and Lochlan is a bright, generous kid, always asking if I wanted to join him in activities, peppering me with brain teasers and quizzes about Minecraft, always offering to get an extra snack for me… I felt immediately welcomed into their life, shown around the farm, shown chores and projects around the house that needed doing, easily settling into a daily rhythm of work in the morning, adventures in the afternoon, and lively conversation in the evening over dinner. I spent most of my time sorting/organizing/cleaning various spaces in preparation for the holidays, and Vicky was so kind to sit down with me and talk through places I might visit after work. She is a wealth of information, and I had ample time to explore a lot of the Far North. Food was delicious and plentiful, especially the cheese (not surprising, of course, being dairy farmers - and thank you Vicky for showing me how to make various cheeses). Accommodation was very comfortable, a queen bed in a quiet room with lots of natural light and a sliding door that let the breeze blow clean through when opened. I feel like I’ve got a great sense of family/farming life up here; I wholeheartedly recommend a stay to anyone wanting the same!

Thumbs up for these two guys who were working so hard as we had a lot of physcial jobs at the time they were here! They stayed for one week and helped us carrying a heap of paper boards from first to third floor, digging, weeding and clearing out old plants in the garden. All our respect to their endurance! With their help we were able to get some nasti jobs finished - we were lucky to have this super friendly and sociable couple Olivier and Coralie here:-)! Thanks a lot to them both!

I had an excellent time in Brandon ! I spend 6 months working at the pub in the kitchen. The staff is very welcoming ! The pub might be busy, especially in July/August but the mood is always nice and the team work make it easier ! Brandon is an amazing place for the nature lovers (mountains, sea...) and the local community is very friendly ! I recommand the place a 100%

Oh how glad we were to have Dobhran here to get on with our building and gardening jobs - especially shortly before Christmas. Dobhran stayed one week, helped us cleaning up the garden, sawing fire wood and helped with some construcion work for our new ceiling. In all that he worked very fast, neat and foresighted. It was also very helpful that he had a lot of experience with working with electric tools what made it super easy for us, because he did not need lot of advice! We also enjoyed his humerous and open-minded personality. An easy going guy who can only be highly recommended and who's always welcome to come back as a workawayer again. Thumbs up for Dobhran!

Meichi stayed with us for 6 days and he was open-minded, dilligent and very communicative! She helped us with a lot of cleaning jobs to be prepared for the Christmas days and and managed to do them with gusto independently and wasn't afraid to get it started! She also helped us in our holiday apartement by cleaning windows and sorting out the messy building place. We kept it flexible when to start working and nethertheless we appreciated the fact that she was reliable and a very independent working woman. Meichi is very communicative and really takes every chance to improve her English language skills, find out more about our daily lifes, which made our conversations and shared meals interesting. She was also very neat and respectful in our home. Also she spoiled our cat by petting whenever he could. He will surely miss her:-). We were glad to have her here helping us with our projects and household-matters. Thanks Mai Che:-)!

It was my first time in Mexico and therefore it was the absolute best experience I had! I absolutely love the ranch and all of the people there, each and everyone is super nice and friendly. I never once felt uncomfortable at the ranch because it truly felt like home! To be able to work with the horses, help out in the garden, working on constructions for the hotel, it never gets boring and it was always fun to work with all kind of different people. Besides from working, we also did many fun activities outside of the ranch. Enrique is such a loving person and was always there when you needed something or someone to talk to. He also showed us so many impressions of Valle and around:) It was such an amazing time at the ranch and I’ll definitely come back next year!❤️

Having the help of Caroline and Alberte was really appreciated and they are certainly good to be around . Two sisters who are very independent, reliable, showing initiative and always willing to carry out tasks - keen to check that they were doing good work. They adapted quickly to 'rural' living and with their own car were able to travel around. We would certainly recommend them to other hosts.

mamma mia! quelle expérience de vie! je suis arrivée en étrangère et repartie en amie! tant de choses différentes, du jardin à l'atelier, en passant par les peintures d'une nouvelle vie en couleurs, l'énergie de la famille, du sourire collé au visage de François, à ma petite tête de joie ulysse, à toutes les attentions de suzie, et l'enthousiasme de nana , bonne wibes il y à un wizzard dans les montagnes magiques du Portugal, un delicieux sucre dans les clémentines qui arrêterai n'importe quel kito ! et une eau de source à s'ennivrer, puis un bain nordique sous les étoiles ma foi perfect combo! cet endroit fut merveilleux! j'étais là à 200 % ! j'ai appris beaucoup en en tout! obrigada!!!

Our stay at Renaud's enriched our entire experience in France! He is such a warm hearted person who is joyful and welcoming. He let us be a part of his life for 3 weeks, and what a life it is! He took care of all of our needs and the room was cosy and comfortable. Can't recommend this stay enough. Merci Renaud!

Love this quirky, honest knowledgeable, hardworking man! He caught us in our most frenetic month of starting an early harvest for the first time, and patience was needed for sure! Even finding an open mill to process our oil was a mission, but we did it anyway! It was nice to have a mature conversational chap around who was interested and engaged in what we were trying to achieve, who got the principles of sustainability and restorative agriculture. He speaks Spanish really well so was a great help and asset in our social times in the village and with neighbours. He was kind with out dreadful asbo dogs, and all round a nice person. Come back one day
