We live in a 18th century old farmhouse in Loir Valley, but now it is not a farm but our home. It is surrounded by beautiful, typically French villages. We are English and French and are happy to assist you with learning one of these languages. The area around us is very beautiful with many walking and biking trails. The famous Forêt de Bercé is 5 minuets walk from here. We do have bikes available for you to explore the area and have a pool where you can relax. Le Mans and Tours are just 40 mins away. We will share our French culture and traditions with you and cook some traditional French meals.
We would like some help with the maintenance some heavy work plus our wild garden and the sanding/varnishing of wood windows. In exchange for 20 hours per week Monday to Friday or, if you prefer to help a longer day for 4 days we will provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation will be your own bedroom and bathroom. We would be happy to collect you from a local train station if required.

Nearby Le Mans has a well-preserved old town (Cité Plantagenêt, also called Vieux Mans) and the Cathédrale St-Julien, dedicated to St Julian of Le Mans, who is honoured as the city's first bishop.
Remnants of a Roman wall are visible in the old town and Roman baths are located by the river. These walls are highlighted every summer (July and August) evening in a light show that tells the history of the town.
Musée de la reine Bérengère, a museum of Le Mans history located in a gothic manor house.
Musée de Tessé, the fine arts museum of the city, displaying painting (including artworks by Philippe de Champaigne, Charles Le Brun, François Boucher, John Constable, Ingres, Théodore Géricault and Camille Corot) and archaeological collections as well as decorative arts.
Tours is a university town between France's Cher and Loire rivers. Once a Gallic-Roman settlement, today it's a university town and a traditional gateway for exploring the chateaux of the Loire Valley region. Major landmarks include the cathedral, Saint-Gatien, whose flamboyant Gothic facade is flanked by towers with 12th-century bases and Renaissance tops.
