Hello!
We are Nuria and Nelson, from Spain and Portugal; we speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, Catalan, Luxembourgish and English. We have 40 cows, 30 pigs pigs, 12 horses and 3 dogs (2 German shepherds and 1 border collie, all very nice, it is essential that you are comfortable with dogs them). Five years ago we settled in this farm to recover it and now that we have made progress with this we would like to move forward with other projects for which we did not have time or resources until now (info of the different types of help for each thing below). We have both grass and cereal fields and fields for animals. We are a breeding farm; we sell live animals.
We are located in a beautiful area of the Tarn (area of good wine!) With incredible views (you can see the sunrise on one side and the sunset by, surrounded by countryside, streams, farms and villages that come out in the tourist guides Life here is quiet: go shopping in the nearest town (Carmaux), go for a drink at the nearest town bar (Cordes sur Ciel, about 10min from home), walk through the countryside, visit our friends from neighboring farms, go to markets and rakes in the area or various events organized by people here, swim in the river ... there are always things to do but you have to like the tranquility, the largest and most important cities they are Albi (at 30min) and Toulouse (at 1: 20h).
There are towns and civilization nearby but you need a driving license because if you do not, you will totally depend on us to leave the farm. Also for several things in which you will help us you will need car / carnet.

Somos Nuria y Nelson, de España y Portugal; entre los dos hablamos español, francés, portugués, catalán, luxemburgués e inglés. Tenemos 40 vacas, 30 cerdos cerdos, 12 caballos y 3 perros (2 pastores alemanes y 1 border collie, todos muy simpáticos. Es imprescindible que estés cómodo con perros ellos). Hace 5 años nos instalamos en esta granja para recuperarla y ahora que ya hemos avanzado con esto nos gustaría avanzar con otros proyectos para los que hasta ahora no teníamos tiempo ni recursos (info de los diferentes tipos de ayuda para cada cosa más abajo). Tenemos tanto campos de hierba y cereal como campos para animales. Somos una granja de crianza; vendemos a los animales vivos.
Estamos situados en una zona preciosa del Tarn (zona de buen vino!) con unas vistas increíbles (se ve el amanecer por un lado y el atardecer por , rodeados de campo, riachuelos, granjas y pueblos de los que salen en las guías de turismo. La vida aquí transcurre tranquila: ir a comprar a la ciudad más cercana (Carmaux), ir a tomar algo al bar del pueblo más cercano (Cordes sur Ciel, a unos 10min de casa), pasear por el campo, visitar a nuestros amigos de las granjas vecinas, ir a mercadillos y rastrillos de la zona o eventos varios que organiza la gente por aquí, bañarse en el río... siempre hay cosas que hacer pero te tiene que gustar la tranquilidad; las ciudades grandes e importantes más cercanas son Albi (a 30min) y Toulouse (a 1:20h).
Hay pueblos y civilización cerca pero necesitas carnet de conducir porque si no dependerás totalmente de nosotros para salir de la granja. Además para varias cosas en las que nos ayudarás necesitarás coche / carnet.

Estarás en una zona muy bonita donde disfrutarás mucho si te gustan la naturaleza, los animales, la vida simple, el ejercicio, etc. Puedes conocer muchos pueblos alrededor, hacer excursiones, ir en kayak, bañarte en el río, probar cocina francesa, y aprender de todo lo que tiene que ver con la vida en el campo.

GENERAL:
Help at home: it is not something specific that we need help with. Clean, cook, water the garden and flowers ... it is general and we do it but maybe one day you can cook it if you like it or if we can not; with the same cleaning, especially if you sleep in the same house as us (+ info below about accommodation). If not, keep the place where you stay well. Normal, how would you take care of and maintain your home.
What are we doing right now every day? (July / August)
- It is time to collect straw curls for animals to eat in winter. If you are from the countryside and you know how to drive a tractor and pick up the curlers, you can help. If we do not prefer to do it ourselves.
- Feed the pigs
- Go to see the cows (they are not in the field in front of house like the horses)
- Enter and remove the horses from the field / boxes.
- See that all fields have water (cows and horses)
- Fill buckets of cereal feed for animals, go to look for food of pigs every 2 or 3 days approx.
- Water the plants and the garden.
CONCRETE PROJECTS:
1. Help in the garden and set up a garden: we want to plant a garden for our own consumption. We have to start from 0 and prepare a piece of land to plant. It would be nice if someone who knows how to cultivate to help in this came. We know the basics. When the person who has grown up can help to maintain it (watering, weeding, fertilizing ...).
2. Fix the pool: for this we want someone who knows how to do it well, not a fudge. You have to install a new engine and fix several things. The objective of this workawayer would be to simply leave the pool ready to use it. If you would like to help in something else, you can, of course! But as long as solutions this could keep you the time we agreed (for example, a week). There is also a battered jacuzzi but the main thing that matters is the pool.
3. Finish building a part of the house. This is the most ambitious project and for which we need more help because we do not have knowledge or time. A part of the building is still to be finished; the structure itself is but you have to finish putting tiles on the floor, two doors and connect water and electricity (look at the pictures !!). If you come to do this you can stay as long as you need to finish it or until you get tired. We would talk about it.
THE HOURS THAT YOU WOULD WORK A DAY WILL DEPEND ON WHAT YOU HELP US WITH, WE DO NOT PRETEND TO EXPLOIT YOU AND THE DAILY WORK HOURS ARE RELATIVE; maybe one day you work 2h, another 5, another 3 ...

GENERAL:
Ayudar en casa: no es algo específico en lo que necesitemos ayuda. Limpiar, cocinar, regar el jardín y las flores... es general y lo hacemos nosotros pero quizás algún día puedes cocinar tú si te gusta o si nosotros no podemos; con la limpieza igual, sobretodo si duermes en la misma casa que nosotros (+ info abajo sobre alojamiento). Si no, mantener bien el lugar donde te alojes. Lo normal, como cuidarías y mantendrías tu casa.
Qué estamos haciendo ahora mismo cada día? (julio/ agosto)
- Es época de recolectar rulos de paja para que coman los animales en invierno. Si eres de campo y sabes conducir un tractor y recoger los rulos puedes ayudar. Si no preferimos hacerlo nosotros.
- Alimentar a los cerdos
- Ir a ver a las vacas (no están en el campo de delante de casa como los caballos)
- Entrar y sacar a los caballos del campo/ boxes.
- Mirar que todos los campos tengan agua (vacas y caballos)
- Llenar cubos de comida cereal para animales, ir a buscar comida de cerdos cada 2 o 3 días aprox.
- Regar las plantas y el jardín
PROYECTOS CONCRETOS:
1. Ayudar en el jardín y montar un huerto: queremos plantar un huerto para consumo propio. Tenemos que empezar desde 0 y preparar un trozo de tierra donde plantar. Estaría bien que viniera alguien que sepa cultivar para ayudar en esto. Nosotros sabemos lo básico. Cuando haya crecido quien venga puede ayudar a mantenerlo (regar, arrancar malas hierbas, abonar...).
2. Arreglar la piscina: para esto queremos a alguien que sepa hacerlo bien, no una chapuza. Hay que instalar un nuevo motor y arreglar varias cosas. El objetivo de este workawayer sería simplemente dejar la piscina lista para utilizarla. Si quisieras ayudar en algo más, puedes, claro! Pero con tal de que soluciones esto podrías quedarte el tiempo que pactásemos (por ejemplo, una semana). También hay un jacuzzi estropeado pero lo principal que nos importa es la piscina.
3. Acabar de construir una parte de la casa. Este es el proyecto más ambicioso y para el que necesitamos más ayuda porque nosotros no tenemos conocimientos ni tiempo. Una parte del edificio aún está por acabar; la estructura en sí está pero hay que acabar de poner baldosas en el suelo, dos puertas y conectar el agua y la electricidad (mirad las fotos!!). Si vienes a hacer esto puedes quedarte todo el tiempo que necesites hasta acabarlo o hasta que te canses. Ya lo hablaríamos.
LAS HORAS QUE TRABAJARÍAS AL DÍA DEPENDERÁN DE EN QUÉ NOS AYUDES, NO PRETENDEMOS EXPLOTARTE Y LAS HORAS DE TRABAJO DIARIAS SON RELATIVAS; quizás un día trabajas 2h, otro 5, otro 3...

3 OPTIONS according to what is convenient:
A room in the main house where we live.
An apartment above the horse stables where you could stay alone or with whom you came (it's in front of the house, 10 meters away).
A larger room separated from the area in which we live (it is at the top of the part of the house that is unfinished). The bathroom is in the main house but is next door (door to this area of the house 1 step from the door of our house).
We can eat together or separately, it depends on how busy we are and what you want. You can cook some days, some of us.
3 OPCIONES según lo que convenga:
Una habitación en la casa principal donde vivimos nosotros.
Un apartamento sobre los establos de los caballos donde podrías alojarte solo o con quien vinieras (está delante de casa, a 10 metros).
Una habitación más grande separada de la zona en la que vivimos nosotros (está en la parte de arriba de la parte de la casa que está sin acabar). El baño está en la casa principal pero está al lado (puerta de esta zona de la casa a 1 paso de la puerta de nuestra casa).
Podemos comer juntos o separados, depende de lo ocupados que estemos y de lo que te apetezca. Puedes cocinar algunos días tu, algunos nosotros.
