We are an eco-village that is dedicated to the regeneration of sustainable agriculture, environmental practices, and community. We are committed to learning as much about ourselves and how we relate to others as possible. We hold periodic circles rooted in shadow work, a practice that helps us learn about subconscious patterns that seek to sabatoge our well being. We also love to play music, and generally have a great time 😊 You can follow our band/farm pages on Instagram to see what were up to-ask us for the username

*️️️*️️️We are also off grid, we do have power, but fridge space is limited, and we turn solar off at 9pm. We also use composting toilets, and run off water catchment, so even though it's a rainforest we have to be mindful of water. Also worth mentioning we are tucked in the rainforest down 10 minutes of rough road, about 20 minutes from the nearest small town. 30 minutes to the nearest city/beach. We have a truck, but ask that you are able to get around independently. If you'd like to ride with us to the beach, or town you may have to sit in the bed of the truck (we provide chairs) because we have limited space inside the truck.

We are an intentional community who practice non violent communication, and support circles for self reflection, and healing.

While at the farm we will offer the opportunity to learn about permaculture as it applies in the tropics (i.e. the conservative use of all resources in a rainforest environment) as well as tree planting, and composting. We will also offer the opportunity to learn more about Non-violent communication, and communal living.

We hope to learn more about each individual in exchange, knowing that each person is unique and has something they can teach us in exchange!

We are a developing eco-village/intentional community. We only started this farm 10 months ago so it's in its infant stages. We have a 3 acre farm that has 1/2 acre of food forest planted (baby trees so not much fruit producing yet), and are going to be expanding. Most of the help on the farm includes weeding, planting trees, building garden beds, art projects, building, some weedeating, and fruit tree maintenance. We are trying to prevent the invasive species from coming back after clearing land for fruit trees, so one of our main tasks is to pick the new growth off the stumps trying to grow back. Workawayers will never be asked to cook meals that are not specifically for the community.

The space we have to offer is a 12X10 platform with a 8 foot tarp teepee, and potentially a queen sized mattress (we have one available now). You must provide your own tent to put underneath the tarp. We also can cook 2 communal meals for work traders a week, and are always open to helping if you are in need.

We are 30 minutes from the ocean, volcanoes national park, Hilo and Pahoa town, which is a little jungle town with a thriving art community. We live relatively close to the highway, but were also tucked back in the rainforest. From our property it's about a 30 minute walk to the paved road (down a really rough road) or a 10 minute drive, and from there its another 10 minute drive to the nearest small town with a convenient store, Foodland (grocery), ethnic restaurants, laundry mat, natural food store, ACE hardware, gas station, and farmers market. Hitchhiking is pretty easy once you get to the paved road and is a way a lot of people travel. Please dont hesitate to ask more questions!
