It was my first ever trip with workaway, and I absolutely loved it. I stayed only one week, which I feel is not enough for this kind of experience, I'd have loved to stay longer to get to know everyone better.
So, I stayed one week with Vittoria, Alessandra and Giovanni, who are all very nice people. I enjoyed having conversations with them to

Vittoria normally goes to school from 8.15 to 13.15, I would go pick her up after school and we would walk home to have lunch with the family, after lunch we would rest or do her homework. We did English homework three times during the week. then we would often talk in English so that Vittoria could practice.
Vittoria is a very kind girl, she is very positive, always smiling, curious, witty and not too shy, which is very nice! I enjoyed spending time and learning English with her. She also taught me a bit of Italian, which I appreciated very much.
I felt included in every of their plans and they would always ask me if I wanted to go somewhere or do something with them. it was also very flexible so I was able to go on a Salento tour during one day. Giovanni also took me on a "pasticcioto tour" to taste a few of these delicious treats.
I want to thank them again for hosting me, I had such a wonderful time! and I'd love to come back one day ☺️
Grazie mille 😍

I stayed with Alessandra, Giovanni and Vittoria for 3 weeks. It was the first workaway experience for all of us, and I think it couldn’t have been better. We would eat lunch and dinner together, and they were so generous and helpful. They always included me in their plans and made sure I was having a good time. I enjoyed hanging out with them and

I ate delicious food, spent time by myself, explored the city and met new people. Also, it’s easy to travel by train from Lecce, so I was able to visit different cities during my stay.
I had my own bed and space, which made me feel safe and comfortable. In the evenings, we would study English or do English homework 3-4 times a week at most. It was very flexible so I could plan my days as I wished.
Vittoria is a nice and funny girl. I enjoyed studying together. She quickly started using the phrases we studied. I hope I was helpful.
It was really fun to be a part of the family! I hope we’ll see each other in the future. :)
