Beschreibung
We live in a nice village in Okayama prefecture. There is a 100-year-old house with tatami floor, kotatsu (Japanese table with heating underneath), and a beautiful view, as you open the traditional doors of the house. There is also a bamboo forest that provide an opportunity to discover the beauty of the Japanese countryside.
Your main task is playing with our two daughters (6 and 8 years old). We want you to teach them English, so speak as much as you can with them. You do not need to have experience working with children before, you just need to love kids and enjoy playing with them.
I want my daughters to know about different cultures and values and it would be great if you could share your skills with them.
Also, as we have guests staying in the house with us. You are expected to join guest events experiencing Japanese culture.
Depending on the season, we will have various countryside experiences to do ;
in spring we cut bamboo chutes
summer we join many local festivals,
fall gather fruit and make jam,
winter we cut and burn bamboo).
You will be able to sleep in a wooden dormitory, on a Japanese futon.
There is a quite well-equipped kitchen in the main house and you will be able to use it.
Hours expected is only 3 hours,
So basically we don't provide food and you should buy your own food by yourself.

Travellers can experience Japanese culture through social interaction with Japanese family members as well as our neighbours. Travellers are welcome to share their skills and we are open to any suggestions you may have to contribute to the wellbeing of our home and village.
Whilst taking part in our lifestyle, you can learn about Japanese and International culture, and travellers can enhance their interactive skills as well as their cultural background.

We have a tatami room and you can sleep there. Please share the room with other guests.
During the day, you can enjoy 100-year-old house, with a shared outdoor kitchen and Japanese style common room. There are a shared bathroom and a laundry machine.

1. Our place is 1 hour bus ride +20min walk from Okayama station
There are only 4 or 5 buses per day from Okayama station.
2. Hours expected is only 3 hours,
So basically we don't provide food and you should buy your own food by yourself.
Hours expected ;3 hours a day, 5 days a week
3. No smokers please!
4. Please bring your own daily necessities(shampoo, towel etc.)
We will provide a futon, so you don't need bring a sleeping bag.
5. There is a small store 2.3km away from our place.
6. Please let us check your passport when you arrive.
7. We prefer longer stays; 2 month maximum stay, and 3 weeks minimum.
8. If you are not happy with this place or we are not happy with your behavior, your stay will be terminated.
