  Hello and thank you for visiting our page. We are Marina and James (Italian/English - both 35) and we have our seven-month-old son, Oliviero (Oli). I also have two daughters Clelia (9) and Lea (5). We are lucky to live in a few places: I have an apartment in Rome, we have a family home on the outskirts of Milan, and there is also a summer apartment in the UK. My husband is a lawyer, working for a big multinational, and I am a teacher of the Italian language (although I am currently in maternity).
  
  I teach both privately and within the Italian public school system. So we are looking to host our first workaway person, and we would like to bring this lady into our family lives ideally on a long-term basis. This opportunity will not be suitable for everybody, it is not for young student adventurers, we are thinking most likely someone who is 40+/50+ and looking to establish a new life, working a little, living a lot, and sharing with us all the beautiful experiences that we can offer for months or years to come. What does that mean? Well, first of all, we are thinking to ask for help with the nursery and school runs.
  
  Also possibly after school as the girls come home or have to go to their various clubs/activities. We do not expect any housework like cleaning or cooking (I love to cook!), but mainly being with us and mostly alongisde Oli. We would like our young boy to grow up with this lady as his nanny, alongside his loving parents. If you can drive that is even better as it would help us with ferrying about. You would be hosted in a beautiful historic 6 bedroom house in Lombardy for most of the year, with your own private room and bathroom.
  
  All meals will be included and my elderly mother is also at home and she does all of the home organising / practical logistics. The area is beautiful with lots of nature nearby, including Lago d'Iseo e Lago di Garda. Milan is less than 1-hour by train, and only 30 minutes to the nearest airport a Bergamo. It is important for us that Oli has an English mother-tongue speaker as much as possible, as James is English, but he cannot do it all and often travels for work. Also the girls take English lessons but would benefit from a little conversation at home. I speak good English but only really in Italian at home with my family. We strongly value the RP accent! I would also be happy to offer you private Italian language lessons if you were interested to learn.
  
  We will offer you as much downtime as possible which will really be during the days, sometimes at weekends (but sometimes we will ask for you to be with us). Summers are spent at the beach and the right person would be treated as a member of the family and invited as our guest to come along to make memories with us. International travel likely to be required (paid for) and we will also ask references. An ex-au pair / teacher or similar as a background is possibly perfect for us as personality type. We are looking for a serious person but kind, reliable, flexible, and with a bit of English sense of humour to work with us and our family on a long-term arrangement. A stipend would be possible for the perfect candidate. Thank you for reading this and we look forward to hearing from you.
