Beschreibung
We are a married couple (47 and 45 yrs) with 3 kids (14, 7 and 5 yrs). We have a large property with farmhouse, 5 dogs, horses, lambs, ponies and a handful of chickens. Always adding animals as we go!
We are located in McBride, British Columbia. It is a small 'village' in the Robson Valley - one of BC's most beautiful areas! !
Our dogs are large breed dogs, mostly inside. They are very friendly (sometimes a little too friendly!).

We live a subsistence lifestyle as much as we can. We are very passionate about wildlife and predator management and conservation, and that will be very evident while you are here. Some things you will take away from your stay with us will be experiencing a quiet and rural lifestyle, gaining knowledge about hunting and wildlife conservation, being surrounded with some of the most beautiful nature that BC has to offer and of course, having fun with a couple of really sweet little boys! You also have the opportunity to learn about small scale farming.

Arbeit
To be a good fit for our home, you should be ready for remote living, comfortable with dogs and, most importantly, experienced with small kids/babies.
My husband does computer work from home and I am a bookkeeper. I need someone to help with farm chores (mostly light-duty chores, watering etc). Also I need help with my little boys for a couple hours each day (ie. feeding, playing etc). It would also be helpful to have some help with light cleaning and other household.
Girls/women only need apply - thank you.

Our home is set up with general living space and bedrooms on the main level. The guest room is on the lower level with a private shower room. We have sit-down dinner together every night, but breakfast and lunch are mostly "help-yourself".

We would be suitable hosts for someone looking for a bit of quiet time for reflection, reading, writing etc. As we are quite rural, the most likely things to do with free time will involve the outdoors, or just curling up with a good book. Or you can relax around the outdoor fire, surrounded by trees and mountain views!
There are numerous areas to hike, fish and forage nearby.

We spent just under 3 weeks here and Sam and Doug made us feel right at home straight away.
The boys are great fun to look after and Sam is an amazing cook, we were really sad to leave.
