Hi!
We are a family living in the beautiful Norwegian countryside. On a little over a acre we have a small fruit-orchard, a view over the neighbors fields, endless woods and an art-studio in our backyard. We are homeschoolers and we love to travel and live amongst the locals wherever we go. We believe that our kids will benefit from having friends from all over the world!
Mama in the family is an artist and nurse who loves her man, her friends and her kiddos! Daddy has worked his own business the last years, he likes to play, hike and do physical workout. Kiddos are 16 and 11, and loves to play the piano, have fun, work and earn money, learn about new things and meet new people from other parts of the world! We have a Siberian Husky, the nicest dog you will ever meet! We have a big Church-family who we cherish and enjoy spending our time with. Building strong character and good morals is highly valued in our family.
We are looking for a woman to help around the house, mainly with cooking dinner daily. Other jobs around the house and garden will also be part of your stay.
We love healthy food, so preparing meals each day will give mama time to focus on her kiddos, her business and her art.
Also cleaning, painting, weeding, schooling the children and other tasks may be on the program for our volunteer/ new family-friend!
The person we welcome has to be flexible and open to different tasks, depending on what needs to be done that day.
We would love to bring you along for our activities and to experience the Norwegian culture!
We have at this moment no WiFi, so in case you need it daily, you must have your own mobile-internet. We do however usually visit our local library weekly, where you will be able to connect to WiFi.

We live in an area full of culture in the south-east of Norway with a nice warm climate during summer, and snow during winter. We live close to the place where the vikings first settled! We just moved here, and are still exploring and would love to bring you along for adventure!
We live in the countryside, but within 30 minutes from 4 small/medium sized cities, and about 15 minutes to nearest shopping, library etc.
Our kids love to help and they will be happy to teach you the Norwegian language while you are here!
Our life is quite peaceful, but also a lot going on often and you will be part of our dynamic lifestyle!
We would love for you to be a part of our outdoor-activities as we are surrounded by beautiful nature!

Arbeit
We are looking for a kind, open, flexible person who are happy to help with cooking dinner and lunch daily. Tasks as weeding, painting, cleaning, helping with projects outdoors and indoors as they come up, may also be part of the job. Other tasks may arise with time, as we are an ever evolving family :)
Mama will be there with the kiddos. Our children has learned to respect others and it is a requirement that we welcome someone who is genuinely kind to our kiddos.
Mama might also need an extra pair of hands while she is out and about doing errands and exploring.
The work will be up to 5 hours pr. day, depending on what is going on that day, and 5 days a week. We are happy to bring you along for our activities or suggest activities and places to visit!
Some days we dont work at all and some days we work more hours.
It is important that you clean up after yourself after dinner etc. and keep your place and the bathroom tidy and clean and that you are a non-smoker.
Flexibility is appreciated as we have a spur of the moment-lifestyle :)

Unterkunft
We have a newly renovated downstairs apartment available with its own bathroom and living room. As long as this is available, you are welcome to use it. If this is not available, we have a room in the main house for you. This room is close to the bathroom and has a view over the fields.
