Help me with creative outdoor projects in Gout-Rossignol, France

  I'm a 74 year old retired gardner coming towards the end of a project to create a 2 acre environmental Eden. I have given the garden priority over the last ten years and now the house, which is 200 years old, requires some updating. Generally, it is in need of repairs, redecoration and cleaning. The house had not been lived in for forty years before my arrival and I spent the first year just making it habitable. It now has all the normal facilities expected - Internet, TV, radio etc. It is located in a small hamlet in the north of Dordogne near the town of Mareuil. Angouleme is the nearest TVG station. The nearest airport is Bergerac but Bordeaux and Limoges are not much more distant.

  The house has a significant stock of English books; fiction, biography, politics, classics, all sorts. The ambiance would favour someone of academic leaning wanting a bit of peace and quiet to further their studies, writing, project or whatever.
  In my younger years I was involved in international trade and whilst I had my own company, much of my career involved working with the merchant marine of the Soviet Union.

  Unterkunft

  Double bed in a large bedroom and house, TV room, large kitchen, seperat dining room. Breakfast normally by 9am.
  
  Lunch, 13.00 hr. (baguette, fruit, drinks.)
  
  Dinner, 19.00 hr.
  
  All food is cooked here and will include meat, poultry and fish.

  Transport will be provided and my car is available. Full unendorsed driving license and your own driving comprehensive insurance policy is required for this facility.
  A no smoking policy throughout the property is preferred.
  If friends are made they are welcome in the house.
