Beschreibung
We are an off-grid farmstead, situated in a valley on 3 hectares of land bordering the Mondego River in Central Portugal. Our power is solar and our water is from the spring, and we are mindful to be as low impact as possible.
The land is a combination of sandy river beaches, river meadows & terraces containing vines, fruit & olive trees, European & cork oak woodland.
The area is a beautiful national park, with many attractions and points of interest around such as swimming, fishing, hiking, kayaking, horse-riding and sightseeing. There is a great local community, markets with local produce, workshops etc.
We are looking for volunteers to come and help with gardening and tending to the fruit trees, forestry, cleaning of the land, general maintenance.
preferably couples as we do not offer a community of volunteers but a peaceful nature resort.
we seek workawayers who have some knowledge or skills in land maintenance (not a must), gardening and are physically able(must) to carry out related tasks.
Please note that you must be a minimum of 21 years old. We do not provide visas, so you must be eligible to stay in Portugal.

Unterkunft
there are few options to stay with us:
We can offer a place for a caravan and/ or camper on our upper wooded shaded terraces, there is an outdoor compost toilet and electricity connection.
there is an option for in 2 furnished yurts (2 ppl each) on woodland terraces, with outdoors shared bathrooms and showers with hot water, communal kitchen fully equipped.

We are a bit out of reach of public transportation and therefore you need a vehicle to be able to get around.
Please note that we also have guest accommodations and private areas on the property, which are not shared.
The help we seek is not related to hosting.
We also have a dog, she is very friendly and likes to meet new friends and play!
Work expectation is up to 4-5 hours a day 4/5 days a week.
