WE WERE ON WORKAWAY FOR 6 YEARS UP UNTIL OUR MOVE TO STOCKHOLM IN 2023 AND ARE NOW STARTING A NEW ACCOUNT. PERHAPS OF INTEREST FOR YOU TO KNOW THAT WE ARE EXPERIENCED HOSTS.
THIS SUMMER, OUR LISTING WILL PROBABLY SUIT TWO PEOPLE TRAVELLING TOGETHER BEST (SEE WHY BELOW).
A warm, relaxing and friendly house, inhabited in the sumer by my daughters Kerstin and Harriet, aged 14 and 13, and myself (Pelle) welcomes and invites you to take part in our daily life and help out with a wide range of chores, e.g. decluttering, painting, sewing, lawn mowing, gardening, cooking, tidying up, language tuition, occasional house sitting and tending our 7 chickens.
In the summer, we live on a farm on the island Norderön (perimeter: 13 kilometres, population about 150) in the wondrously beautiful countryside of the county of Jämtland, some 600 kilometres north of Stockholm, which is our home for the most part of the year.
In our area, visitors have plenty of opportunities to pursue their outdoor interests (MTB, vertical and/or horizontal rambling, golf, reading or learning Swedish) and it is entirely impossible to avoid nature and its wildlife round our home ;))
I am a teacher of Swedish as a second language and I'd be most happy to assist anyone keen to learn the language both conversationally and grammatically.
You will get your own little room here during your stay.
NOTE
This summer, our volunteers are likely to spend quite a bit of time on their own (including at supper) as we/I (Pelle) have got numerous other commitments elsewhere in the area. Therefore, we think it best to welcome two people travelling together. -

With us, such qualities as willingness to contribute to what needs to be done here and an interest in the things we have to offer carry more weight than, for example, your language background. Generelly speaking, however, native speakers of French, Spanish och English (mainly for the benefit of Kerstin and Harriet) or of German are particularly welcome as Pelle would be delighted at an opportunity to brush up on his dormant knowledge of conversational school German

My daughters study French and Spanish, respectively, and language practice in either of those languages would be very welcome. Both of them have picked up a great deal of English from previous volunteers here and we would all benefit from having (near) native English speakers around as well. -
Unterkunft
Our place also boasts a comfy sauna in which any weary workawayer is welcome to be revived after a day's work.

The farm is located within easy reach (about 17 kilometres) of the town of Östersund, once a year host to one of Sweden’s largest music festivals “Storsjöyran”.
We are certain that, through honest and clear communication, we can devise an arrangement together with you - perhaps during a premilinary webcam conversation - that will keep all of us happy as Larry. -
