Arbeit
We are looking to hire an extra pair of hands to help with Max (moderate to severe learning difficulties like Down’s Syndrome) to help keep him occupied: helping him to do things like cooking, tasks like laundry or in the garden, reading, writing, painting, swimming in the pool.
Max communicates using a mix of basic speech and a book of symbols. You need to speak good English so that he can understand you.
Sophie (mum) will show you how to help with Max and will be around to help. Henry (dad) will be with us for 3 weeks out of the summer).
A little help with tidying up, helping with laundry, getting Max to clear up, laying tables, tidying kitchen etc would also be useful.
This might suit you especially if you are or are training to be a teacher, speech and language, OT or physiotherapist, psychologist, medical professionals or have experience of working with or a family member with Special Needs/Disability.
Patience, energy and good humour to deal with Max’s Special Needs.
He need for lots of attention, interaction and stimulating activities to keep him happy and learning new skills.
This is our family holiday home. We have family and friends to stay. Sometimes it’s really busy and sometimes quiet. Lots of conversation.
There is time for you to relax/ study/ work/ walk/ swim/ eat good food and more.Sprachen
