  Hello,
  My name is Lou-Anne and I'm a 20-year-old student pursuing a joint degree in Management and Applied Foreign Languages (English and Italian). I'm on holiday soon, from May to the end of July, and I'm looking for a native English speaker between 17 and 23 years old to speak English with me as often as possible. If you're sporty, if you like animals and Nature, join me and my two horses in a day to day life in the Parc du Pilat near Saint-Etienne and Lyon.
  
  I invite you to come to live with me and share my activities during the holiday for 3 weeks to 3 months, from May 1st to July 31st, 2026, during my holiday.
  
  I love animals and have been riding horses since I was very young. I'm also very athletic and enjoy trying new sports. My life revolves around nature and the outdoors. During your stay, we can go for walks in the forest, countryside, and mountains; go cycling or mountain biking; go horseback riding; go rock climbing or via ferrata; go out in the cities (Saint-Étienne and Lyon); meet up with my friends; and more. I also enjoy quieter activities like cooking. I'm quite good at desserts and would be delighted to share some recipes with you. I also enjoy reading, writing, going to the cinema, playing board games, and playing an instrument (I play the flute and I'm dabbling in piano and guitar, it's great if you are a musician).
  
  I live in a large country house with a garden with my parents. My father speaks some English and my mother speaks a bit better. Sometimes my two older brothers and friends come over.
  At home, we also have two cats, two horses, chickens, bees, and a donkey. So, being sociable, loving animals nature and sports is essential to feel comfortable here.
  You will have a private room with Wi-Fi access.
  Depending on the weather, we can enjoy our hot tub. However, we live at an altitude of 900m, so it's not permanently installed.
  
  Saint Romain les Atheux is a charming little mid-mountain village in the Pilat Regional Natural Park, near Saint Étienne and about an hour from Lyon. There are many wonderful hikes to be done in the forest or on the surrounding peaks.

  Je m'appelle Lou-Anne et je suis une étudiante de 20 ans poursuivant un double diplôme en Management et Langues Étrangères Appliquées (anglais et italien). Je serai bientôt en vacances, de mai jusqu'à fin juillet, et je cherche une personne entre 17 et 23 ans dont l'anglais est la langue maternelle pour parler anglais avec moi aussi souvent que possible. Si tu es sportif, si tu aimes les animaux et la nature, rejoins moi ainsi que mes deux chevaux dans ma vie quotidienne au Parc du Pilat, près de Saint-Étienne et Lyon.
  Je t'invite à venir vivre avec moi et à partager mes activités pendant les vacances pendant 3 semaines à 3 mois, du 1er mai au 31 juillet 2026, pendant mes vacances.
  
  J'aime beaucoup les animaux et je fais de l'équitation depuis toute petite. Je suis aussi très sportive et j'aime essayer de nouveaux sports. Ma vie est surtout centrée sur la nature et l'extérieur. Pendant votre séjour, nous pourrons nous promener en forêt, campagne et montagne; faire du vélo ou du VTT électrique; monter à cheval; faire de l'escalade ou de la via ferrata; sortir en ville (Saint-Étienne et Lyon); rencontrer mes amis; etc.
  J'aime aussi les activités plus tranquilles comme cuisiner. Je suis plutôt douée pour les desserts et je serais ravie que nous partagions quelques recettes. Lire, écrire, aller au cinéma, faire des jeux de société, jouer d'un instrument (je fais de la flûte traversière et j'essaie un peu le piano et la guitare, c'est super si vous êtes musicien).
  
  Je vis dans une grande maison de campagne avec jardin avec mes parents. Mon père à quelques notions d'anglais et ma mère parle un peu mieux que lui. Parfois mes deux grands frères et des amis sont là.
  A la maison, il y a aussi deux chats, deux chevaux, des poules, des abeilles et un âne. Il est donc indispensable d'être sociable et d'aimer les animaux, la nature et le sport pour être à l'aise chez nous.
  Vous aurez une chambre seule avec l'accès au wifi
  Selon la météo, nous pourrons profiter de notre spa; cependant nous habitons à 900m d'altitude donc il n'est pas installé en permanence.
  
  Saint Romain les Atheux est un charmant petit village de moyenne montagne dans le parc régional du Pilat, à proximité de Saint Étienne et à 1h environ de Lyon. Il y a beaucoup de magnifiques balades à faire en forêt ou sur les sommets environnants.

  This extended stay will give you the opportunity to discover the French way of life and rural living. The Rhône-Alpes region, Saint-Étienne, Lyon, the Pilat Regional Natural Park, and the Alps are all beautiful places to explore.
  
  You'll also be able to improve your French while helping me improve my English. It’ll be a lovely holiday for both of us.
  
  If you enjoy cooking, I'd be delighted to teach you some traditional French recipes.
  
  Ce long séjour sera pour vous l'occasion de découvrir le mode de vie français, et la vie à la campagne. Rhône-Alpes, Saint-Etienne, Lyon, le parc du Pilat ou les Alpes sont très beaux à découvrir.
  
  Vous allez aussi pouvoir progresser en français tout en me faisant progresser en anglais. Ce sera de belles vacances pour vous comme pour moi.
  
  Si vous aimez cuisiner, je vous apprendrai avec grand plaisir des recettes typiquement françaises.

  Arbeit

  I'm studying English, among other things, and I need help to improve my level.
  
  We'll communicate in English as often as possible, and you won't hesitate to correct me.
  
  Moreover, 1 to 2 hours a day, I would need help reviewing what I learned in my bachelor's degree during the year in an informal and fun way so that I can absorb it and make progress.
  
  It will also be necessary to help me with the maintenance of the house and the outside when my parents are not present: light cleaning, watering the garden, and feeding the chickens, but it goes very quickly.
  
  We'll also spend some time each day (probably between one and two hours) with the horses. You don't need to be a rider, but you absolutely must be comfortable and confident around horses. You’ll just help me feed them and take them for a walk. I’ll always be with you.
  
  J'étudie entre autre l'anglais et j'ai besoin d'aide pour améliorer mon niveau.
  Nous échangerons le plus souvent possible en anglais et vous n'hésiterez pas à me corriger.
  De plus, 1 à 2h par jour, il faudrait m'aider à revoir ce que j'ai appris en licence pendant l'année de manière informelle et amusante pour que je puisse les assimiler et progresser.
  
  Il faudra aussi m'aider à l'entretien de la maison et de l'extérieur quand mes parents ne seront pas présents : ménage léger, arroser le jardin et nourrir les poules, mais ça va très vite.
  
  Nous passerons aussi chaque jour un peu de temps (entre 1 et 2h probablement) avec les chevaux. Vous n'avez pas besoin d'être cavalier mais il faut absolument que vous soyer à l'aise et en confiance avec les chevaux. Vous m'aiderez simplement à les nourrir et à les sortir en balade. Je serai toujours avec vous.

  Unterkunft

  Since I have a studio apartment in Lyon for my studies, if you'd like, we could visit the city together occasionally and spend a night in it.
  If you're staying long enough, we could spend a few days at my parents' apartment in the mountains (Les 7 Laux ski resort).
  
  Bed linen and towels will be provided.
  
  I cook very well and we will share our 3 meals per day together. I cook a lot of vegetables from the garden, but I also eat fish and meat, you will be able to adapt to our very diverse diet.
  
  Je cuisine très bien et nous pourrons partager nos 3 repas par jour ensemble. Je cuisine beaucoup de légumes du jardin, mais je mange aussi du poisson et de la viande, vous pourrez vous adapter à notre alimentation très diversifiée.

  Comme j'ai un studio à Lyon pour mes études, si vous le souhaitez, nous pourrons aller visiter ensemble la ville ponctuellement et y dormir une nuit.
  Si vous rester suffisamment longtemps, nous pourrons aller quelques jours dans l'appartement de mes parents à la montagne (station de ski des 7 Laux).
  
  Les draps et serviettes de toilette vous serons fournis.

  You are free to visit our region or Paris on your own during the weekends. But you can also choose to stay home with me and join me on my outings with friends or family and participate in my activities. It's entirely up to you.
  
  Vous êtes libres d'aller visiter seul notre région ou Paris pendant les week-end. Mais vous pourrez aussi choisir de rester les week-end à la maison avec moi et de partager mes sorties entre amis ou en famille et mes activités. Comme vous voudrez.
