Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit mit Caio. Er hat uns immer herzlich unterstützt und viel zeit mit den Kindern verbracht. Caio ist eine sehr positive Persönlichkeit, der dem Leben offen gegenüber steht und es als Geschenk sieht.

I spend 4 week with Tole, Marleen and the kids, Milan, Marlo, Lele, and Janu, was I great experience as they have a nice way to see the world the kids have a lot of energy so we could play, run, jump but also building ( we did a pizza oven) or go to the nature the kids took me to a nice track by bicycle, we went the the mountains (Harz), Milan and

We spent 3 wonderful weeks with the family during winter time.
Tole & Marleen are 2 really easy going persons who are keen to share their daily routine with their children.
They welcomed us as we were part of the family which was a great feeling from the beginning.
It is a place were many different things are going on. The children are very active

Most of the "work" was to take care of the children, to help renovating the house and to extend the garden.
Their were no time scheduled for doing the work. Everything was done by feeling day by day.
With Marleen and Tole you can feel free to change some plans if you feel like working on something else. A good feeling of flexibility and an easy going vibe while mostly listening to some music.
We had a nice room in the house directly close to the other rooms.
For privacy it is not the best but you get use to it. And, they are building a flat in the other part of the house were workawayers could eventually stay once finished.
Furthermore, the food was really good (mainly vegetarian/vegan) with plenty enough. We are thankful for that.
Once the kids were in bed we spent nice evening together sharing talks, board games and films.
We highly recommend this place for getting to know a good example of an open minded family living in the middle of a small village in Germany.

WAW WAW WAW!!! What an AMAZING WorkAway experience I had with Marleen & Tole, their 3 wonderful kids, opa Reiner and so many more superb family members. From the very first reply to my initial message I got a great feeling about this host! Marleen & Tole even red my message to their kids, and decided a family as a whole to invite me, which gave me
… read more a wonderful and welcoming feeling.
And welcome I was! When Tole picked me up at the airport, we got along right away. We shared a lot of opinions, ideas, dreams, insights, experiences and the many talks we had were very very inspiring, learningful and broadened my view on the world... which is one of my mean reasons to do WorkAway!
A lot of first-times for me as well during my stay! First time smashing a wall, first time building a wall (to create a secret room for the boys), first time renovating old style with clay, first time stand-up paddling, first time eating Sauerfleisch, and many more.
The family also has a healthy lifestyle which was really eye-opening too! I learned that with just making some small changes, I can actually upgrade my own diary to much healthier as well! And so I will :D
We went camping multiple times and that was amazing too! So relaxing, peaceful, back-to-basics and just having fun... nothing more to wish for! On one of the occasions we celebrated Marlo's 6th birthday, which was not only an amazing weekend of fun, but he also chose one of my Belgian dishes as his birthday meal! I felt very honored that he asked me to cook it!
It was soooo great, and a good mixture of helping, enjoying, playing (lots of trampoline jumping), having fun, going camping, swimming pools, museums (Braunsweig is a great city with very good musea that tell a lot about the history of the region), good talks, learning, sharing and broadening my view on the world. Also Marleen & Tole are amazing parents!! If one day I am to become a parent I want to give my kids just the same super amazing childhood they are offering their kids! It's the childhood you wish for every kid in the world and what every kid deserves!
There is so much more to tell... but as this is only a review I can only recommend anyone wanting to have the full and the best WorkAway experience ever, to send a message and experience it themselves. You will not regret!
