  Hi everyone :)
  
  My name is Miri and I am the very happy owner of a kitesurfing lodge in Cape Town. I am looking for some great people to help me immediately (August/September/October 2024) with some maintenance projects. Note that in August/September the house is not a guesthouse, but a shared house (about 10 people) with 6 month-stay tenants.
  
  This is a place where kitesurfers, digital nomads and yoga lovers come together every year. Many guests stay for several weeks or even months, so you really get to know them and form amazing, life-long connections. The name means home and that's the vibe we're after, everyone who comes through is not just a guest, they're family.
  
  The house is 5 minutes walking distance to the kitesurfing beach and bars/supermarket/restaurants. It has a pool, hammocks, slackline, fireplace, braai and lots more fun to enjoy. You'll be staying in one of the beds in the dorm or in a private tent. We do loads of outdoor activities, you'll never get bored and it's always a vibe!

  Cape Town is simply the best place in the world and I think you'll agree after staying here! You'll never get bored hiking, surfing, kiteboarding, diving, wine tasting, exploring beaches, eating at the countless amazing restaurants, partying and road tripping. Just to name a few.
  
  The house is in the Blouberg area, meaning 20-25 minutes by car from Cape Town centre.

  IMMEDIATELY - AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2024
  We're in low season and the house needs some maintenance done, can you help? :) It's everything DIY, painting, fixing, improving and little building/woodwork project. Just a heads-up, it's not a hostel/lodge these months, but there are 10 super fun/friendly tenants in the house who will gladly welcome you. You also get to have the whole 8-bed dorm to yourself!
  
  SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 2024
  Hello great handyman or artist, I'm looking for you! Don't know how to work a drill or brush, but are good at landscaping, interior design, have organizational talent and vision, maybe there's a spot for you too :) lastly we could welcome an SEO-wizard.
  
  During this time we are getting the house ready for high season. We are building, fixing, muraling, improving, re-inventing, renovating and more fun stuff just like this! The house is full of a cool bunch of tenants, some early guest arrivals and us, forming the new family.
  
  FULL (but maybe available again from January) OCTOBER 2024 - MARCH 2025
  * Minimum stay: 2 months
  Season has started! The kitesurfers are arriving and I need help with check-ins, general running of the place, some admin/errands and fun activities. Braai (BBQ), pizza-night, hikes and yoga classes. Sh.t also keeps breaking, so I need one of the 2 volunteers to be handy, cause I have 2 left hands.
  
  There is no fixed schedule, but you will have plenty of free time. I have an amazing cleaner and gardener who take care of the big stuff and I do most check-ins myself. I just need someone to be home when I'm not and someone to be my right hand when I don't have the DIY know-how. We also do pizza & braai nights, where help is much appreciated :)
  
  MUST-SKILLS (pick one! or both?!)
  - Pretty solid DIY/maintenance knowledge. Doors falling out of the hinges? You got it. Poolpump is making funky noises? You'll have a look. Toolshed falling apart? Let's build a new one! I of course don't expect you to be a professional, but I need a person to go to before having to call the big guns.
  - Yoga teacher (position probably filled, but still worth messaging :) ). We have yoga classes about 5x a week and would love for you to teach them. Fresh out of your 200hr training and need to practice? This is your chance! Classes are donation-based so you can make some extra money on the side.
  
  BONUS SKILLS (having only these is not enough, sorry!)
  A) Artistic skills. There's always something in the house that could look prettier or maybe even a big mural to be painted.
  B) Experience with landscaping, the garden could use a little help
  
  It's also very important for me that you can work independently and see things. The ideal person would notice mess and tidy it before I have to point that way and maybe even show me things that need improvement so we can figure out solutions.
