Hello,
We are looking for people to help us with our natural and ecological project.
We have a watermill and a former wharehouse of more then 250 years old in the midst of two and a half acres of land.
At the moment we need help with rebuilding the mill,
We also need help with the land, the veggy garden and the old trees and the new ones.
We need to adjust our experiences with growing plants in a natural way to this climate and soil. We need help with cutting wood, pruning etc etc.
Our dream is to restore this historical and gracious place in harmony with the nature and culture around. Practicallity and beauty combinened.
All this is not only meant for us. On a non-profit base we want to open the place for people who need to regenerate and find a more healthy and inspirational balance.
The place is in the tranquile and authentic Altiplano of Granada. This area has an unique landscape and an ancient history. Now a big part is Unesco heritage.
We live in quietness, about 3 kilometers out of the village Benamaurel with its ammenities and bars and restaurants.
Besides the landscape most remarkeble are the cavehouses here. The most healthy and ecological way of living that we know of. This ancient way of living combined with modern comfort is very special.
Our project is a combination of natural stones and caves and is hundreds of years old. The last 3 years we spent on rebuilding it and rescue it from becoming a total ruin. We love this place with his atmosphere of a natural grandeur and practicality.
The land has watercanals made by the Moors and Romans, old fruittrees and a new orchard. We planted many trees and many more to come. There is a veggy garden and the rest of the land needs care in order to regain its balance in the soil.
We need craftspeople, builders, painters, diggers, gardeners, woodworkers, tree caretakers, watersystem makers cooks, sewers, creative minds, muscles and practicality.
We are older people from the Netherlands with an abundance of experience in many fields of life and in many crafts. We are interested for decades in the natural ways.
We can teach and show you and we are open to learn from you too.
We work hard and we like to celebrate life as well and share that with you.
Like good daily food is important to us.

We are Dutch and live in Spain in the countryside. We have gathered a lot of knoledge and craftmanship during our lives. We are willing to teach out of this abondancy.

We have a complex of 6 individual litle cavedwellings, 3 clamping tents and 3 appartments. Depending on the season and what is available we can offer these accomedations

Benamaurel is a little village with a few bars and restaurants. Nearby is a big lake with a thermic bath:
Embalsa de Negratin at the foot of a mountain (Jabalcon,1500 m).
Baza and Huescar are bigger towns on about 25 km.
This area has a big variety of landscapes, one of them is called the Badlands which is a very special type of landscape.
You can swim in the river near by,, in the artificial lake in Castillejar and in the big lake Negratin.
