Welcome to ¨Las Selvas¨ !
In the last 10 years I workawayed on many travells and it's been always my favorite way of moving round and lifestyle. Now I have the luck to be on the other side and hold space in this beautiful funky nature paradise!
¨Las Selvas¨ stands for multiplicity of jungles - possibilities. It is a space that lives itself, with people passing, fusing & contributing to it. The house, the plants and area grows with the passing of hands and vibes.
Visited, by those who end their jobs, who finish their studies, who search for a break.
We join in music, in cooking & art, in the meditative tasks. In taking care of a place together.
What the place gives us we give back to it, and so it grows, communally.
We're directly at Charcos de Quesa, which is a series of turquise waterholes and a waterfall that are part of the Rio Grande river, one hour south of Valencia. From the land there's a forest pathway that leads you in 5 minutes to the first waterfall and the river. Wilderness !! No car sounds, no neighbours !
15 min by car to the nearest village Quesa, where there's places to eat and markets.
The area is called los Canales de Navarrez and it's very green, lots of pines, smelling herbs, with beautiful rivers, mountain goats, night owls and chanting cicadas. Many secrets spots, incredible hikes and caves to explore.
The house is an art | community | nature project. The vision is to create projects together, make art, contemplate nature and connect people.
Myself:
My name is Jan. I'm half Polish half German, I'm 32 and am building a life out there with the purpose of sharing art, food, thought and vibes!
I've been studying Fine Arts ( sculpture ) and Animation in Berlin and have travelled around around Europe, Mexico, Colombia and New Zeland. Nature inspires me to create and to be in peace.
I make sculptures from organic materials, metals and make hybrid stop-motion animations with phantastical & mystical stories.

I invite you to use this contemplative scenery to dedicate to your own artistic practice and you are also welcome to use the workshop with welding tools, wood tools, lots of paints, wax, studio sound monitors, a PC with Adobe Suite and two screens, professional camera.
The texture of the rocks, the mineral complexity of the caves, the turquise contemplation of the river, the echoing spirit of the owl, the late summer sweetness of jasmin and fullmoon silence. The forest is an animistic force, full of tales, discreet messages and mystery. Let's explore.. <3
In my artistic practice I create sculptures using organic materials, metal, ceramis and wax. Those created phantastic creatures, psychedelic landscapes I then film and integrate into sophistiated digital animations mixing greenscreen footage of actors, drawings, stop-motion and videos. I also teach on-line animation and will happily share my knowledge!
I am happy share my spiritual practices as yoga, meditation, contemplation and plant medicines.
I am obsessivly listening to music. Theres everything between jazz, funk, hip-hop, house, world music ( loving african music ), electronic music, ambient music, soundscapes...
Arbeit
The help needed always varies throughout the year. You can count with : handy tasks , gardening, painting, diy . The tasks are also oriented to your own skills.
Good cooks!
The space is big so an awareness of maintenance and self initiative in cleaning is really important.

I am currently in search of a FLATMATE! with a 2 weeks testing period. :)
The house has three bedrooms and a living room + kitchen. Private rooms.
The big room has a seperate entry, a terrace with an amazing mountain chain view!
We have 4ha of land with 200 olive trees, oranges, lemons, figs, algarroba and granadas. There a 150m long garden with fruit trees and veggie garden!

The area Canales de Navarrez is one hour south from Valencia. It's a green area, with a lot of pine trees, herbs, rivers and rocks. There magic of the area is that a lot of the places are not so much explored, so you end up beeing most of the times alone in nature and its wild.
There's a lot of beautiful places like Rio Fraile ( turquise waterfalls ), Barranco Morreno ( cave painting and crazy red rocks ), the waterfalls of Anna or the Rio Bolbaite.
One of my hobbies here is hiking, camping and discovering caves.
There's also beautiful neighbours with different projects around permaculture and spirituality. Some of them do workaway and we meet and exchange volunteers :)

Co Living :
I love sharing vibes with other people. Nature + People is my recepy for a happy life. We will eat together, cook, dance, make surpices to each other, do eachother favors and learn new things. The beauty of co-living.
We will also clean the house we're sharing, wash the dishes and bring out the compost. This needs a certain awareness in terms of sharing space.
It's important for the flow of co-living that we consciusly contribute and keep the balance of energy.
