  My name is Ana, I live in Torralba de Ribota, a small town in Aragon (Spain). I work in theatre and I also manage a cultural project which is a Host in Workaway too. I have two children, Elías and Mateo of 18 and 20 who often come to stay for some days and help around.
  
  I have a spacious house to host people from all over the world. One part of the house is where we host artists coming through and Workawayers, the rest of the space is work in progress. There is also a black cat coming in and out freely.
  
  The village is very calm and quiet , just 100 people live here, and it has a small community of artists, besides other native inhabitants who are really kind people. Spending some time here is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, get inspired and discover a very special and astounding spot of Spain.

  Me llamo Ana, vivo en Torralba de Ribota, un pequeño pueblo de Aragón. Me dedico al teatro y a gestionar un proyecto cultural, que también está como “Host” en Workaway. Tengo dos hijos, Elías y Mateo que suelen quedarse algunos días en la casa y también echan una mano.
  
  Tengo una casa amplia para acoger a gente de todo el mundo; una parte está dedicada a residencia de artistas y a la gente que viene de Workaway, y el resto de la casa se va haciendo poco a poco. También hay un gato negro que entra y sale libremente.
  
  El pueblo es tranquilo y silencioso, solo vivimos 100 personas, y cuenta con una pequeña comunidad de artistas, además de otros habitantes del lugar muy amables. Pasar un tiempo aquí es una oportunidad para reconectar, inspirarse y descubrir un rincón de España especial y sorprendente.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I work in theatre and culture, and I am interestes by all kinds of art. In fact, I am interested in everything human, learning from others and sharing what I know. In the house there is a good drama and comic bookcase in several languages (french, english and some italian). For years I worked as a translator so I am quite good helping people to learn and improve languages, I love to do it. I speak Spanish, English, French and some Italian. I also love food and cooking and trying new tastes and recipies; all kinds of cuisine are welcome at home.

  Yo me dedico al teatro y a la cultura en general, y me interesan todas las artes. En realidad, todo lo humano me interesa; aprender de los demás y compartir lo que yo sé. En la casa hay una buena biblioteca de teatro y cómics en varios idiomas. Durante muchos años trabajé como traductora e intérprete, así que soy muy buena ayudando a la gente a aprender otras lenguas, me gusta hacerlo. Hablo español, inglés, francés e italiano.También me gusta la cocina y probar nuevos sabores y recetas; todos los tipos de cocina tienen cabida en casa.

  Arbeit

  Work will be to set up and brighten up spaces and furniture in the house: painting, fixing, emptying, arranging... in a
  lively and cool ambiance, often with some music on the background. We also need to do some gardening and build a compost box. Help time will be 4-5 hours per day, with 2 free days per week. I like to host 2-3 Workawayers at the time because I think working in a small group is more fun and efficient.

  El trabajo consistirá en adecuar y embellecer espacios y muebles de la casa: pintar, arreglar, bricolar, vaciar, ordenar… en un ambiente alegre y relajado, a menudo con música de fondo. También hay que cuidar las plantas en el patio y construir una compostera. Serán unas 4-5 horas al día, con dos días libres a la semana. Me gusta acoger 2-3 Workawayers al mismo tiempo, pues el trabajo en grupo es más divertido y eficaz.

  Unterkunft

  Workawayers will be accomodated in a very nice apartment inside the house but completely independent, with its own kitchen, wc and living room. Every Workawayer has an independent room to sleep and shares common places with others. Wifi works perfectly and is quite fast. Food is included, except for the free days.

  El alojamiento es en un bonito apartamento independiente dentro de la propia casa, con cocina, baño y salón propios. Cada Workawayer tiene su propia habitación y comparte los espacios comunes. Hay buena conexión wifi en toda la casa. La comida están incluidas, salvo los días libres, que correrán a cargo de los Workawayers.

  Torralba de Ribota is located in the Zaragoza region, where mudejar architecture is a worldwide reference and World Heritage. The village's church is marvelous, and also the ones in Aniñon and Cervera, the nearest villages around (6 kms). Calatayud is at 12 kms and Zaragoza is 100 kms away. From Torralba there are several paths to go for a walk and enjoy a very special landscape, with reddish clay hills.
  
  In Torralba there is not shop, bank or pharmacy, just two bars (Spanish soul!). This is not a problem because we get doctor & food trucks coming every day and we can always bring almost anything from the towns nearby. Although in Calatayud there are banks and cash dispensers, it is useful is to have a certain amount of cash, because it sometimes is the only means of payment accepted in Torralba. In Summer, we have a public swiming pool with tree-shadow , the bar terrace and the Saltamontes Festival.
  
  In order to get to Torralba de Ribota, you will have to travel to CALATAYUD either by train (the cheapest one is REGIONAL EXPRESS), bus or Blablacar. Once in Calatayud, you can take the bus or I can pick you up.

  Torralba de Ribota se halla en la provincia de Zaragoza, donde la arquitectura mudéjar es un referente mundial y Patrimonio de la Humanidad. La iglesia de del pueblo es magnífica, así como las de Aniñón y Cervera, otros dos pueblos que se hallan a unos 6 kilómetros. Calatayud está solo a 12 kilómetros y Zaragoza a 100 kms. Desde Torralba hay varios senderos para pasear y disfrutar de un paisaje muy especial, con formaciones arcillosas de tonos rojizos.
  
  En Torralba no hay tienda, ni banco, ni farmacia, solo dos bares (que no falten!). No es un problema pues el médico viene 3 veces por semana y también llegan furgonetas con fruta, verdura, pescado, pan... Aunque en Calatayud hay bancos y cajeros automáticos, es importante es tener siempre a mano dinero en efectivo, pues en Torralba y los pueblos cercanos suele ser el único medio de pago. En verano tenemos la piscina, la terraza del bar y el Saltamontes Festival.
  
  Para llegar a Torralba de Ribota hay que llegar a CALATAYUD en tren (el más económico es el REGIONAL EXPRESS), en autobús o en Blablacar. Una vez en Calatayud, hay un autobús que llega hasta aquí o también puedo yo ir a buscaros.
