Arbeit
We are looking for help with our sled dogs during the months of October till April. We have 40 sled dogs. This includes helping with harnessing, exercising, feeding and going to sled dog races with us during the winter. Our place is best suited for Individuals who are self-motivated, diligent, able to do the help independently, reliable, physically fit and able to lift at least 70-80 lbs. During winter we spend most of the daylight hours outside with the dogs... feeding, racing, exercising etc. So some tolerance to cold is a plus as well knowledge in regards to driving snow mobiles and atvs.
We attend races in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, North West Territories and United States. Some weekends we will get you to attend the races with us and some we will get you to take care of some of the dogs and puppies while we are gone for the weekend! Ideally it would be great if you could stay 3-4 months, either September to Decemeber or January til March.
We also have a 2 year old toddler who is very involved in our active lifestyle. On occasion we may ask you to stay inside with him while he is napping or watching tv etc, so a love of children is must! We are also expecting another baby in the fall.
If you would like to come during the summer months, June-August, we are also looking for help with picking our Saskatoon berries as well as planting the garden and maintaining it. As well help with feeding the dogs, scooping poop and exercising the dogs/puppies. Our summers here are 20 to 30 C
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accommodate vegetarian/vegan dietary requirements.Sprachen
