  Hello to you. We are 2 friends who embarked recently in the adventure to create a Sanctuary for all animals in need.
  You will find cats, dogs, sheep, chicken, ducks, geese.... Living on a huge farm of almost 30.000sqm, located only 49km NE of Athens at the foot of the Parnitha Mountain range and 15-20min to the beaches on the region.
  Our goal is to provide rescued animals with the best possible life, we can offer.
  Our fruit and olive trees need work, more trees need to be planted and habitats created for our animals already residing and for future rescues.
  The range of activities and skill sets needed on a daily basis could not be more diverse.
  You will like to live in our 2 story family home, which you will share with our cats and dogs as in any family home, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. We can offer 5 comfortable sleeping opportunities plus more, if needed.
  For your camper van, we offer you a place under a shade tree.
  We are creating paradise for humans and animals, respecting nature, but we only can grow with your help, your visions and ideas.
  A bus can take you into Athens to explore the tourist sites of this ancient city, we are close to Thebes and Oropos, the island of Eboia.
  Local bus connections, a bicycle or your own vehicles will make your stay truly memorable.
  Rock climbing, snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea, hiking on many trails, a Adventure Park and if course Athens offer a wide range of activities in your spare time.
  You will prepare your own meals and take turns with fellow guests, unless otherwise arranged.
  Weekly shopping trips can be arranged, as well as last minute necessities. A coffee, breakfast, snack, small meal diner is located close to us. Traditional taverns in the villages around us - approx 4km distant.
  We expect you to keep your accommodations clean and tidy and leave them in sanitary condition upon your departure or pay for cleaning services.
  Wifi and a TV are provided.
  I am looking forward to welcome you over a glass of what not, good wholesome food and good conversation, exchanging our culture.
  During the hot summer months we have a morning and an evening routine with a break during midday.
  As a rule our workday starts and ends with the sun, or the schedule our chicken keep. Hence in the depth of winter we only have a 2-3hour break tops midday.
  I expect for you to work minimum 5 hrs a day for 5 days a week to cover our expenses in hosting you free of charge. You are rather doing a set of chores, than being on the clock.
  However you are welcome to work more hours for extra spending money or less, but you will need to pay for your accommodation, your own food and a final cleaning fee.
  Our lifestyle is definitely rural in stunning nature.
  Ammeties such as a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron and vacuum cleaner are available.
  
  Your skills sould include at least one of the following: animal care profession, vet tech, vet assistant, farming, tree surgeon, harborist, gardening, carpenter skills or any building skills, perhaps some cooking.
  You must love life, you must love and respect animals and nature. You are expected to treat your host, as you want to be treated. This is an exchange program, not a "what ever" prigo. Honesty and integrity are very important to me.
  Smoking is only in special designated areas permitted, due to fire hazard in the summer.
  No drugs, no excessive consumption of alcohol or other stimulants.
  
  Please note, that we reserve the right to terminate our offer of accommodation and sadly must evict you from the premises, should we become aware of illegal substance abuse or repeated drunkenness, harrasment of staff or guests. We expect to respect each other.

  A bus or train can take you into Athens to explore the tourist sites of this ancient city, we are close to Thebes and Oropos, the island of Eboia.
  Local bus connections, a bicycle or your own vehicles will make your stay truly memorable If you like you can catch the train and explore the magical beaches and villages along the east coast of Attiki.
  Rental Cars are available from as little as 17€ per day.
  Rock climbing, snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea, hiking on many trails, the Natura reserve of Mount Parnitha, an Adventure Park and of course Athens, offer a wide range of activities in your spare time.
