  Hello! We are Jazmín and Ervin, a small family from Futaleufú, in Chilean Patagonia. We live on a family farm where we also run tourism activities in the Lago Espolón area, surrounded by native forest, mountains, and wildlife.
  
  We love the outdoors, helping on the land, and living alongside various animals that are part of our daily lives. Currently, it's mainly my father and I who live here. Sometimes two helpers join us for different tasks on the farm, and we occasionally receive visits from family and friends. Because of this, the house usually has a lively and family-oriented atmosphere, where there are always stories, conversations, and experiences to share.
  
  If you love animals, a simpler life, and cultural exchange, you're welcome to stay with us!

  ¡Hola! Somos Jazmín y Ervin, una pequeña familia de Futaleufú, en la Patagonia chilena, y vivimos en un campo familiar donde también desarrollamos actividades turísticas en el sector Lago Espolón, rodeados de bosque nativo, montañas y animales.
  
  Nos gusta la vida al aire libre, el trabajo en el campo y convivimos con distintos animales que forman parte de nuestra vida cotidiana. Actualmente vivimos principalmente mi padre y yo. A veces también comparten con nosotros dos colaboradores que trabajan en distintas labores del campo, y ocasionalmente recibimos visitas de familiares y amigos. Por eso, la casa suele tener un ambiente dinámico y familiar, donde siempre hay historias, conversaciones y experiencias para compartir.
  
  Si te gustan los animales, la vida simple y el intercambio cultural, ¡serás bienvenido/a en nuestra casa!

  Al vivir con nosotros, podrás conocer de cerca la vida rural en la Patagonia chilena, aprender sobre el cuidado de animales, el trabajo en el campo y participar en distintos proyectos prácticos que forman parte de nuestra rutina diaria.
  
  Nos gusta compartir conversaciones, comidas e historias, y siempre estamos interesados en aprender sobre otras culturas, idiomas y costumbres. También estaremos felices de ayudar a quienes quieran practicar español.
  
  Además, disfrutamos de actividades al aire libre como senderismo, montaña, escalada y exploración de la naturaleza, por lo que quienes compartan esos intereses probablemente se sentirán muy cómodos aquí.

  Arbeit

  Tasks vary depending on the season, weather, and the needs of the farm, so we are looking for flexible people with a willingness to help with different activities.
  
  Help may include:
  
  - Maintaining the vegetable garden and greenhouse.
  
  - Feeding and caring for animals (horses, chickens, dogs, and cats).
  
  - Cutting, organizing, and preparing firewood.
  
  - Building and repairing fences.
  
  - Maintaining and creating trails.
  
  - Gardening and caring for outdoor spaces.
  
  - Small construction projects and/or improvements to the farm's infrastructure.
  
  - Helping with housework and cooking when needed.
  
  Most of the tasks is done outdoors, so it's important to be comfortable helping in different weather conditions.
  
  You will generally help alongside us or with people we trust, who can teach you the tasks and guide you through the process. However, there will also be times when you will need to work independently, so we value initiative, responsibility, and organizational skills.
  
  No prior experience is necessary for any of these activities. What's most important to us is a willingness to learn, collaborate, and participate in daily life on the farm.

  Las tareas varían según la temporada, el clima y las necesidades del campo, por lo que buscamos personas flexibles y con buena disposición para colaborar en distintas actividades.
  
  La ayuda puede incluir:
  
  - Mantención de la huerta e invernadero.
  - Alimentación y cuidado de animales (caballos, gallinas, perros y gatos).
  - Corte, orden y preparación de leña.
  - Construcción y reparación de cercos.
  - Mantención y creación de senderos.
  - Jardinería y cuidado de espacios exteriores.
  - Pequeños proyectos de construcción y/o mejoras en la infraestructura del campo.
  - Apoyo en tareas domésticas y cocina cuando sea necesario.
  
  La mayor parte del trabajo se realiza al aire libre, por lo que es importante sentirse cómodo trabajando en distintas condiciones climáticas.
  
  Generalmente trabajarán junto a nosotros o con personas de nuestra confianza, quienes podrán enseñarles las tareas y acompañarlos durante el proceso. Sin embargo, también habrá momentos en los que deberán trabajar de forma independiente, por lo que valoramos la iniciativa, la responsabilidad y la capacidad de organizarse.
  
  No es necesario tener experiencia previa en todas estas actividades. Lo más importante para nosotros es la disposición para aprender, colaborar y participar de la vida cotidiana del campo.

  Unterkunft

  Volunteers will stay in a small private room within our family home. The bathroom, kitchen, and common areas are shared with us and other potential guests or volunteers.
  
  We have hot showers, a washing machine available for reasonable use, and satellite internet. Due to our rural location, the internet connection is limited and works best for communication and basic use rather than for remote work or constant streaming.
  
  For those who enjoy camping, there is also the option of camping outdoors using your own tent.
  
  We provide three meals a day, and volunteers will generally share the same meals we eat as a family. Most of our meals are homemade and simple.
  
  If you follow a strict diet or have specific dietary needs, we recommend bringing or purchasing your own food in Futaleufú, as some items may be difficult to find in our area. You are also welcome to use the kitchen to prepare your own meals.
  
  We welcome couples and require a minimum stay of at least one week to facilitate integration into rural life and the various activities on site.

  Los voluntarios se alojarán en una pequeña habitación privada dentro de nuestra casa familiar. El baño, la cocina y las áreas comunes se comparten con nosotros y otros posibles huéspedes o voluntarios.
  
  Contamos con duchas de agua caliente, lavadora disponible para uso razonable e internet satelital. Debido a nuestra ubicación rural, la conexión a internet es limitada y funciona mejor para comunicación y uso básico que para trabajo remoto o streaming constante.
  
  Para quienes disfrutan acampar, también existe la posibilidad de alojarse al aire libre utilizando su propia carpa.
  
  Ofrecemos 3 comidas diarias y, por lo general, los voluntarios compartirán la misma comida que consumimos en familia. La mayoría de nuestras comidas son caseras y sencillas.
  
  Si sigues una dieta estricta o tienes necesidades alimentarias específicas, te recomendamos traer o comprar tus propios productos en Futaleufú, ya que algunos alimentos pueden ser difíciles de encontrar en nuestra zona. También puedes utilizar la cocina para preparar tus propias comidas.
  
  Aceptamos parejas y solicitamos una estadía mínima de al menos 1 semana para facilitar la integración a la vida del campo y a las distintas actividades del lugar.

  Our house is located in a rural area surrounded by nature, making this experience ideal for people who enjoy the outdoors, animals, and tranquility.
  
  In your free time, you can hike trails, visit nearby rivers and lakes, go fishing, rafting, cycling, or simply explore the incredible natural landscapes surrounding Futaleufú. There's also the possibility of visiting Argentina, as the city of Esquel is relatively close to our location.
  
  We strive to maintain a family-friendly, respectful, and cooperative atmosphere. Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted. Smoking is allowed only outdoors, and we ask that you take special care with cigarette butts due to the risk of fire.
  
  We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping shared spaces clean and tidy.
  
  Life in Patagonia can be very different from city life: the weather changes rapidly, some tasks are physical, and services are more limited. However, we believe that those who enjoy nature, a simpler life, and cultural exchange will find a very special experience here.

  Nuestra casa se encuentra en una zona rural rodeada de naturaleza, por lo que esta experiencia es ideal para personas que disfrutan la vida al aire libre, los animales y la tranquilidad.
  
  En su tiempo libre podrán recorrer senderos, visitar ríos y lagos cercanos, practicar pesca, rafting, ciclismo o simplemente explorar los increíbles paisajes naturales que rodean Futaleufú. También existe la posibilidad de visitar Argentina, ya que la ciudad de Esquel se encuentra relativamente cerca de nuestra localidad.
  
  Buscamos mantener un ambiente familiar, respetuoso y colaborativo. Se permite el consumo responsable de alcohol. Fumar está permitido únicamente en el exterior y pedimos especial cuidado con las colillas debido al riesgo de incendios.
  
  Agradecemos que todos colaboren en mantener limpios y ordenados los espacios compartidos.
  
  La vida en Patagonia puede ser muy diferente a la de una ciudad: el clima cambia rápidamente, algunas tareas son físicas y los servicios son más limitados. Sin embargo, creemos que quienes disfrutan la naturaleza, la vida simple y el intercambio cultural encontrarán aquí una experiencia muy especial.
