We are a family of five, living in the north of Sweden, 40 minutes from one of Europe's top mountain resorts. This is the ideal place for people who love skiing, mountainbiking, hiking, outdoor sports/activities and nature. On the farm we have chickens, bee-hives, dogs and a kombucha brewery.

As a family we love the outdoors, skiing, cycling and also cooking. There are many activites in the area depending on which season you come. In the summer there is mountainbiking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming in the lake. In the autumn there is the berry- and mushroom picking, harvest markets. The winter offers skiing, crosscountry skiing straight out into the woods for miles from the house, or by car ca 30 minutes to one of Europes top skiresorts. Spring time offers a wide range of skitouring. The gastronomy here is world class and for someone who would like to experience the best of Swedish cuisine, there are many cafes and restaurants locally on offer.

Arbeit
We are looking for a couple of workawayers who can help with everyday chores and jobs around the house and farm, gardening and kombucha brewery, possible local deliveries. The help could also include general help in the house and perhaps at times looking after our youngest child who is 8 years old, he loves skiing, cycling and football.

Unterkunft
If you stay with us you would stay in our guestflat with stunning views of Mount Åreskutan and Lake Kallsjön. The flat is located 20 metres from the house and in summer has a deck with a swimmingpool. The flat is 65 sqm and has kitchen and bathroom, open studio layout with kitchen table and lounge area. A kingsize bed and a separate single bed. You will have your meals both with us and more independently in the flat.

Our place is remote, there is a village 5 min by car, ca 15 min by bicycle, where there is a foodshop, school, library, church and swimming pool. There are buses twice a day that connect Järpen and from there to Åre mountain resort or Östersund which is the closest bigger town. We will of course also help with transport where possible.

My work involved mainly painting the barns but also a bit of work in the kombucha brewery and cleaning in the house. It was very flexible and enjoyable.
In my free time I mostly played with Max doing everything from trampolining to drumming.… read more
