  Hello. We are an alternative school in Shiga, Japan.
  
  We believe in children's power to make their own decision. We place great emphasis on hands-off approach. We, adults, are there to assist when they need help but not to guide them.
  
  There are 15 kids (age b/w 1 and 12 years old, 6 families) We need a personal who can spend time with school age kids (5 of them). We engage in both outdoor and indoor activities depending on what the kids would like to do.
  
  Preschool age kids (btw 0 and 6 years old) are accompanied by their parents. Kids above school age (btw 7 and older) spend time away from their parents.
  
  We are not business.
  We are looking for volunteers.

  We are located not too far from a big cities like Kyoto and Osaka, yet the town is very quiet and convenient enough for someone who wants a slower pace.
  You will get to experience how people in a small town live and interact with one another especially parents and children.

  Arbeit

  We need someone who;
  
  - is physically fit,
  - can speak some Japanese,
  - can stay the minimum of one month,
  - understands kids as equal amongst adults,
  - allows kids to make their own decisions as much as possible.
  
  Hours;
  
  5 hours a day (usually 10am until 15pm)
  Tuesday through Friday
  
  
  Types of outdoor activities are hiking, going to lakes (swimming in summer), going to parks etc..
  Types of indoor activities are art project, studying subject matters of kids' interests, playing music etc...

  Our facility provides;
  
  - private Japanese style room (a set of futon for you to sleep on)
  - access to kitchen
  - access to toilet

  Our facility does not include;
  
  - internet access
  
  About the meal:
  
  -We will provide lunch and a little ingredients from Tuesday to Friday. Please cook your own breakfast and dinner every day, and three meals from Saturday to Monday.
