Beschreibung
We are creating a new Eco-Village in beautiful Nantou county overlooking the stunning Central Mountains. Our goal is to create a more meaningful, healthy and sustainable holistic existence by bringing together environmental, aesthetic and spiritual principles. Through shared land and housing, reduced material consumption and dependence on money, villagers will be able to devote their time and energy to developing the physical and mental well being and personal characteristics of its people. By sharing and combining our energy, talents and abilites we can create a vibrant and meaningful community which we hope can be a model in Taiwan for a more conscious life, where there is time to nurture the land and our fellow humans.
As our community is still in its infancy it is a very exciting time to be involved with many new projects on the horizon.

There is lots to experience and learn during your stay here from sustainable building practices, organic farming and food preservation to outdoor skills such as hiking, camping and river tracing. Depending on your time here you can join us in many other communal activities including meditation, arts and crafts, calligrahy, Tai chi and guqin - the traditional chinese zither - as well experiencing authentic Chinese and Taiwanese language and culture.

Arbeit
Our main focus at the moment is on completing the new house(Complete interior decoration including wooden walls、floors、 cabinets and floor heating system) and planting/preparing the nearby land for growing food however there are always many different activities under way. Depending on the day or season these include food preperation, harvesting, crafts projects, simple carpentry and repairing and beautifying the space. Future projects include the construction of a workshop, ecological toilets, outdoor cob kitchen and home-made solar heaters using natural building methods such as rammed earth, cob, stick frame and straw bale.

Unterkunft
We provide tents under bamboo with outdoor shower and wood stove. If the weather is bad can live together in the main building(still under construction) in a simple dorm style space with kitchen, hot water , toilet and unlimited internet. We all cook our food and eat together as a family using fresh ingredients found in the nearby village. Often we get fresh fruit from the farm or our friendly neighbors’ farms.

The villege is in Nantou province that is full of beautiful places to visit, including many high mountains trail(over 3000m), Sun moon lake and rivers. Visitors can also spend their time to see these nice places for the free days .And there are temples and meditation centers near by,like Chung Tai Chan Monastery and Vipassana Meditation Centre.
