Volunteering here was an absolutely beautiful experience – one I’ll never forget. I stayed for three weeks this May/June and had the best time with the other volunteers, the guests, and of course with our lovely hosts, Steffi and Dean. 🩷

… read more along with. It really felt like a little family. 🥰 We cooked together, hung out on the terrace, went to the beach, and shared lots of laughs. The atmosphere was positive and cooperative from day one – I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to volunteer with. 🫶
The work itself was totally fair and enjoyable – a mix of housekeeping and helping with small tasks around the hostel, keeping the kitchen and communal areas clean, sometimes helping with check-ins, or helping people preparing dinners. I also had the chance to get creative (which I really appreciate) by designing a sign for the hostel, which was such a fun and meaningful opportunity! 😃🙏
Steffi and Dean were amazing hosts and “bosses” – always kind, appreciative, and very attentive to how we were doing. They really care about their volunteers and made sure we felt at home. 🥰🙏 They also went out of their way to help and support us in case we needed any help with anything.
We had plenty of free time to relax, go swimming, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, or join the weekly trips to the market and river (which were always a highlight!). I also loved how social the hostel is – you meet so many interesting guests from all over the world, and the shared dinners every evening bring everyone together. 🤗
As a volunteer, I stayed in a cozy dorm with the other volunteers – we had comfortable beds, our own bathroom, and everything we needed to feel at ease. 👌
Overall, I can wholeheartedly say:
👉 If you're looking for a chill, social, creative and community-oriented volunteering experience by the sea – this is the place.

The 5h working per day were just perfect, cause like that there was a lot of time left to do your own thing, like chilling at the beach and enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony. Thanks to the days off I could visit Split and Dubrovnik which was amazing. Also Luna & Buddy the two dogs and Lotty the cat let you really feel at home. I can really recommend staying there and already miss staying there!!
We really enjoyed having Hannah volunteer at our hostel! She fit right in with the other volunteers and everyone here enjoyed her company. She took great care of the daily tasks on her shift and we could always rely on her for keeping everything clean and organized. She was also super nice with our guests and also our furry friends (Luna and

She also helped us with practical tasks like gardening, painting and other small maintenance tasks and always did a wonderful job. She learned new skills (like making cocktails and using the espresso machine) with ease. With her calm and confident presence she was a great asset to our team.
We highly recommend Hannah to any future host!!

… read more guests, (pet) friends and fellow volunteers. Both are highly motivated, organized, skilled, interested in learning new things and always ready for any task or challenge. Even without telling them anything they would take care of the whole house, keeping everything clean and tidy and seeing where help was needed - that is really exceptional but at the same time second-nature to this lovely couple/dream team. We could trust them with any type of work as they were already highly skilled and quick to understand instructions, coming up with solutions and working with dedication and efficency - all while having such a positive attitude and outlook. They work great together, by themselves and in a team - sharing their knowledge with their fellow volunteers and taking the younger ones under their wings as well. We loved the evening times together, with shared meals (Christel and Felipe are the best cooks - we enjoyed everything so much and the empanadas were the highlight of it all :)) , talks and games. We highly recommend them to any future host - just know it will be hard to say goodbye... Thank you so much for everything, Christel and Felipe - you are always welcome back!
Starting to describe our time at the hostel is a challenge, but here we go. We were originally scheduled to stay for two weeks, which turned into a month.

… read more Dalmatian coast. Steffi, on the other hand, is always willing to help others, keeping the hostel clean, pleasant, and harmonious for both volunteers and guests. Together, they create the perfect balance for a place of peace and joy.
Regarding the assigned tasks, they were well distributed throughout the day so that we could do a good job and still enjoy the place. The focus was always on improving your skills and learning new ones.
The food was incredible every day, both from Dean and Steffi and from every volunteer who was there while we stayed. We always ended the day with a good time of conversation and board games, something we love to do.
No less important, Luna and Buddy are the best things about the place. They are incredible dogs, always eager to play with a toy stick or rock and run around. Their faces on your lap for a petting session are the best and play with paper balls with the cat.
We can only say thank you, Dean and Steffi, for every word, meal, and moment we spent in your incredible place. As your slogan suggests, "Where the guest becomes family." We already felt part of the hostel family, and we're sure our paths will cross again in life.
It was great to have Thor stay with us for a couple of weeks and help us with different tasks and skilled work around the house. As Thor traveled in his own motorhome, he was very independent but still became part of the hostel family and social atmosphere of the place. … read more completed different projects for us: from painting to wood- and metalwork, refurbishing fabric in storage boxes for our yoga studio and creating a light for an outdoor sitting area - Thor did not need much instruction or supervision as he knows his stuff. We are really grateful for the time and effort he put into improving the hostel as well as his input on different ideas and plans. It was great to connect with him during talks, shared meals and games in the evenings and we hope to catch up with him in the future. We highly recommend Thor as a volunteer to any future host! This hostel truly is a one of a kind place! I ended up staying for about three and a half weeks, and the time just flew by. As I usually only stay for a week or two, this place is special. … read more straightforward, and they really encourage flexibility and independence in how you approach tasks.
It almost seems like it’s Dean’s life mission to make everyone’s experience as easy, convenient, and fun as possible. He’s always ready to solve problems, even when they’re not his own, he will gladly help you. His adventurous spirit and kindness will take you to explore so many amazing spots around the area. On the other hand, Steffi brings such a calm, warm, and welcoming energy to the hostel it’s the perfect balance.
And lastly, I want to mention the food! Even though meals weren’t included during my stay, I ate better there than I have anywhere else in my life. Leaving was so difficult because this place truly feels like a home away from home. I’ll absolutely be back!

I stayed at the hostel for just a week, but it left such a strong impression that I wished I could’ve stayed longer. I helped out in the garden during my stay, and the tasks were simple and enjoyable. There was a nice balance between doing a bit of work and then just having time to relax, explore, or hang out with the others. One of the highlights was definitely the evenings — we played this fun game called Mexican Train (highly recommend it if you’ve never tried!), and had some really lovely long chats that made the hostel feel warm and open.
Dean and Steffi are fantastic. Dean is full of energy and always up for helping out or suggesting something fun to do, and Steffi brings such a calm and kind presence — they really create a beautiful balance together.
